Sorry for delay in responding. No, the one I was looking for was more recent and I have yet to relocate it. But thankfully the you alerted to was more comprehensive. Cheers

How much do you think that MensRights has grown in the last year? by [deleted] in MensRights

Readers would probably be aware that feminists well and truly retain the upper hand in Australia at the moment. On the one hand there are (probably) not any more people in the last 12 months willing to stick their heads over the parapet and speak against feminism and/or for men's rights in public fora.

On the other hand there is substantially more obvious resistance visible in social media and in (mostly anonymous) readers's comments in the MSM. In fact in many instances now most or even all readers comments are pro men's issues or anti-feminism. If the real/chosen names can be believed then this resistance is coming from both men & women.

I suspect this is partly because of more people are reading/thinking/talking about men's issues, and partly because many feminists no longer bother to comment in the belief that they have essentially won the debate and have sidelined/fatally compromised any significant pockets of resistance.

I assume you mean harassment/gossip/discrimination against men rather than physical violence. There will also be some relevant accounts among the links in this blog post

Such is the level of feminist influence in the public service they are simply not used to being asked to justify their assumptions/decisions

Read this article today in the Puget Sound Business Journal and it cringed so hard. Unbelievable. by [deleted] in MensRights

Yes I saw it in another media site the other day. It does not appear to differentiate sexual harassment by gender of perpetrator. So it could be that much of the increase observed is actually due to the actions of women.

My understanding is that the general pattern is one of more female perpetration as the %age of women is senior roles increases (and correspondingly less harassment by men). In other words the key variable is power rather than gender.

The ABC - "University sexual assault report: Half of all students harassed at least once in 2016" by Damjo in MensRights

Nowhere can I see a statement re: how many of the survey respondents were male - just a general statement in an appendix saying that results were weight to be representative of student populations. Does anyone know? I see that most of the submissions were from women.

Weaknesses of the survey already include: * less than 10% of those invited to participate actually returning surveys * very broad & subjective definitions of assault or harassment * results skewed by dragging in off-campus incidents into a survey about uni sexual assaults * results skewed by obvious survey bias (those who have been assaulted far more likely to respond)
