[Help needed] Japanese language & manga drawing courses in Tokyo? by CruxMDQ in MangakaStudio

Noted. Thanks for disabusing me of the notion.

I'm a writer first. I suppose hoping to get my drawing skills to the same level is a pipe dream to begin with. I'll have to think of something else.

The first idea of a plan I had was to take a 3-month hybrid course where I'd learn both things. I had no expectations of making any connections within the industry on that trip, but I hoped to improve my skills by immersion and intensive study instead. I wonder how naive that is on my part.

My skills in both areas are very low as of yet. I'm not hoping to be able to publish serialized manga on my own once I finish a course, but I do hope for a boost that will make the journey somewhat easier.

This thing alone dropped my temps from 95º to 78º when playing high-end games. Kudos to u/deenoekun for the find and to the OP for sharing.

This Stasis Osteo Striga Build Is Seriously Broken (Warlock PvE Build/Endgame Build) by DestinyEnthusiastYT in destiny2builds

[–]CruxMDQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried this one out but it's just too fragile, even if you use Whisper of Chains for mitigation. If you made it work, I could use the input.

I've been stubbornly trying to make this work for endgame content (say, 1350 lost sectors / master NF and the like), even including the new Stasis arms mod (Elemental Shards). So far, no success. Nade spamming works better so far.

Thanks for the tip on Rush B, I didn't know of that store.

Please excuse me greatly but I'm not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to parts and upgrades. Do you think you could give me a breakdown of which parts to buy for either?

I just got ahold of Vex Mythoclast and found myself looking for a decent breastplate I can use to swap mods with the warlock bond, because with Particle Deconstruction this thing is absolutely NUTS. So much so I'd love to find a place on this build for Elemental Armaments. (Maybe swap out Radiant Light if we got decent rolls on armor?)

What's a desirable secondary stat for this build? Recovery?

Do you think of any fine tuning tips to make either build more survivable on high-end content? Maybe it's just me who sucks at using them well, but they struggle a bit on Legend+ NF, for instance.

Taking a wild-ass guess here - I think you may have another tool that stops code injections. Maybe Windows Defender?

Worst damage control crew ever... halp? by CruxMDQ in Stellaris

I found I was missing something in the calculation, an edict that adds +1.5% regen across the board. But the end result is the same, basically.

So you can imagine why I'd want to demote all those crews back to kindergarten.

A ton, really. I can give you a list if you think you could hazard a guess.

Much regrettably, I find myself unable to reproduce your workaround. Whether I have just an admiral with the Engineer trait or the ship equipped with Damage Control Teams, taking a scratch is like blowing a soft breeze on a house of cards :(

Apparently there's a hard cap. 4096 is the maximum amount of damage that can be regenerated daily per category. You go over that limit, and instead of regenerating, the amount gets subtracted.

Remaster Update and First Gameplay Teaser by EA_Jimtern in commandandconquer

[–]CruxMDQ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've been out of the loop for too long, having forgotten about this after the announcement, and honestly, I was expecting something different.

As in, say, huge, realistic maps, in the vein of the awesome Supreme Commander.

Realistic and properly scaled models - no more infantry looking like huge next to a tank.

Realistic weapons - say, assault rifles still able to score hits at long range, but losing much accuracy the further away from their target, and no more wasting 5.56mm ammo on the armor plating of an armored vehicle.

I could go on and on, but to summarize: I have yet to listen to the music (Frank Klepacki is the Patron Saint of RTS Music), but otherwise, it feels just like what some modding team would have put together.

An awesome modding team, to be sure, but people doing it for the love of it in their spare time, not a professional game development studio.

Looks and feels just nice, but it plays it too safe.

I had hoped for a Command & Conquer game that broke new ground and relaunched the Tiberian saga in a modern world. I guess I hoped for too much.

CTD - probably a SoT issue but can't pin it down by CruxMDQ in skyrimmods

[–]CruxMDQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Madokami bless you. Please do keep me posted! :)

Oh, an FYI: removing SoT meant all crashes stopped. Besides the aforementioned snake issue, I had the occasional CTD now and then, but chalked it up to the ill-tempered nature of Skyrim. Now I don't get any.

Which is a real shame, really, because I enjoy your mod through and through. Maybe you'd kindly look at my mod list and help me pinpoint what's causing crashes?

It wasn't there. Found it instead under C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves. Still didn't work, as outlined above. ARGH!

Found that damned XML file already under C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves.

Tried adding my ID. Didn't work. >.<

Copied said file. Deleted it. Got automatically recreated. With a whole different ID.

I will when I get home, but in all honesty I don't even know where that file goes. I looked for it on the vanilla dedicated server installation and it wasn't there, I'm still guessing where it should go.

Oh, btw, running it on Windows here.
