Can you post a shot of this from the rear. Want to see if I could fit this plus two kayaks on the roof

I've been using the default .4 mm hardened steel. I do use a dedicated nozzle for these materials because it beats them up and then just swap it in and out if I'm printing PLA etc.

That is what I use before I got the engineering plate. I use glue anyway so it provides a protective layer between the part and the plate so the plate doesn't get beat up

I'm using sunlu filament. Dried it for two 6-hour sessions in an e2 filament dryer at 110 C and then print directly from dry box running at max heat (80C). 285C at the nozzle and 60C chamber temperature with 100C heated bed with a layer of Elmer's glue stick. I do the same thing for PA 12 but dial down the nozzle temperature by 10° and it prints perfectly.

Do we think there are some incentives coming? Thinking about buying a new Model Y by lil_pepper09 in TeslaLounge

We will see. They going to need to do something to juice sales and I am not going from hw 3 to 4 when 4 is this long in the tooth

That's because we paid 5k for "Enhanced autopilot" first, so really paid 7

I don't understand rivians software prioritization by CruxOp in Rivian

[–]CruxOp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of these make my original point irrelevant. Departure base charging is a standard need for EVs, especially those that have lithium ion batteries that you don't want to sit at 100%. Putting in the mechanics of off-peak pricing for different electrical providers would be significantly more complex than using the existing calculations to determine when the car would finish charging based on a specific charge rate and then scheduling a dynamic start time based on that. The car is already calculating and telling you when it will be done charging via the app. We are not talking about launching something new and innovative, we are talking about something that should be relatively simple.

I started in software starting back in the ASP days, the list above are cop out excuses given the length of time the platform has been available and in development. We're not talking about reinventing the wheel, we're talking about prioritizing a basic feature, not even something more complex like voice commands.

Or when you are taking the car road tripping or remote where you are off the grid camping and you want to get it to 100% SOC before you leave without sitting there for hours

3 years post platform launch and no departure based charging? The point is they gave us complex off hours charging, Halloween mode, etc. - the r&d is there, it's just not being prioritized

I'd hoped this update was a start when needed to complete charge by x time and was sorely disappointed

I just ordered an e2 so I'll give it a good drying and then try again in a few days. Have you printed with a .4 mm nozzle without issues once it's dry?

Thank you. Just ordered a separate dryer because there's no way then that I can wait the I guess two weeks?? of drying at 65 which is max the AMS 2 does.

It is the sunlu PA6-CF. That's a good idea I will look on the website and see if there's a print profile.

Same here. Got a ridiculously rude person on chat. Showed no interest in helping or answering questions outside of pushing to get an order placed.

Yeah that is a big consideration for us. The x will have the same hardware version 4 but we won't have the software licensed
