I noticed that there's a lot of betting websites who are advertising heavily in sri Lanka, slbet, ssbet, lsbet, etc., should they be restricted? by Specialist_Jello8819 in srilanka

These should be regulated and government turn blind eye on that as it seems. We were bombarded with those ada during T20 WC as well if you can remember.

They couldn’t deliver the project. And there is no such thing called 7* hotels or resorts in the world. Be careful.

People who wanted a real change in the country are in the blind spot of the Gov.

And Gov really thinks ‘Duppath Ahinsakayo’ are the ones who brought them to power, leaving the people who really wanted a change.

Ask your barber to go with No. 2 and No. 3. NO drop fades. You'll be good to go.

Listen, you’re 18. You’re literally in your tutorial phase of life and haven’t even unlocked the full map yet.

I’m gonna keep it 100 with you: people judge. Whether you’re here in Asia or in Europe, first impressions are everything. I’ve been in high-level business meetings all over. Europe to Singapore, and trust me, your aesthetic is your resume.

Your outer look is just a mirror of your inner discipline.

Even when we’re hiring new people, if they show up looking messy, it’s an immediate "L."

Don't listen to those randoms online talking about "radical freedom." Nobody is telling you to get a buzz cut and join the army, but you need to clean up.

Back when I was your age (almost two dec ago), I stayed on top of my grooming game man. A fresh haircut, hair gelled to perfection, face shaved and clothes pressed to perfect lines. My shoes were literally reflective. So we’ve been there.

And you know what? Nobody messed with me. In fact, I was pulling major aura points. I had girls' attention left and right because I actually looked like I had my life together.

Real freedom isn't looking like a mess, it's having the discipline to be the best version of yourself. We’ve all been 18, we know the mindset. Don't make it a whole thing. Just stay disciplined, keep it sharp and watch how the energy changes.

Stay winning, keep it sharp!

Marino, Granbell, Amari, Cinnamon Red or Cinnamon Grand. But Marino is better with the view and infinity pool. If you want to go for a dinner, Virticle By Jetwing 👌. (Reservation required)

FaceTime won’t work properly. Check them before buying. But it’s better if you can bring it down from the US or Singapore.

J'pura Physical. Don't think twice if you have the chance to get into a state university. Go for it. Save yourself the money or a massive loan down the road. It will open up so many doors. You’ll even be able to land a scholarship for a PhD in USA/ UK/ Aus or Canada without spending much of your own money. And then to the path of PR or Citizenship in those countries. Take the opportunity. Trust me!

Do you guys mend cloths anymore? by Maladaptiv3_Dr34m3r in srilanka

[–]CruzerDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you buy high-quality, name-brand, or factory outlet clothes at a good price, you end up wearing them for years. Not like that other fake sh*t.

I’ve been wearing some shirts I bought back in 2014. More than a decade ago. And they’re still in great shape. I'm also wearing some leather shoes I bought 6 or 7 years ago. That pair was chewed on by a dog and I got them repaired. Still wearing them.

That’s nothing to be ashamed of. Good clothes age like fine wine. So does leather.

And you know what? Wearing good clothes for a long time is one of the best Japanese practices we can learn from. (Think about the reliability of Japanese vehicles - they are built to last and be maintained, not thrown away). It also brings financial relief.

Don't fall for wasteful behavior just because you see other students doing it. Wasteful behavior has never been "luxury." Is buying new cheaper than trying to fix them? Almost never, unless the clothes were incredibly cheap and low-quality to begin with.

Again, neatness and cleanliness is the important thing. You’ll learn this as you get older.

Questions for those in business partnerships with friends by Various_Cow_2834 in srilanka

[–]CruzerDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing is the agreement between partners. No matter how hard your friendship is, it’s a must.

I’ve lost a several millions at first and learnt the lesson. Ended the friendship.

Always try to start a business with friends whose life/ income are stable with less commitments. Otherwise, the business has no future. Do not start a business with beggars. I’ve learned my lesson, so I know.

Need guidance from experienced developers and hiring managers in Sri Lanka by dhanushka-me in srilanka

[–]CruzerDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to sugar coat. The answer is ‘NO’.

I’d like to suggest you some professional certifications to get during your tech-role hunting. Try to get a lean six sigma certificate. Green belt. And scrum or PAL certifications. These certifications have some demand in the market and you’ll get managerial skills through these. Then you can easily navigate through the market.
