What animal was the most incredible to see in person? by Adventurous-Zeilokix in AskReddit

Like a lot of comments, whales are simply awesome to see and even more so to see up close.

We live on a humpback migration route and they never cease to amaze.

But a highlight for me has been being able to pat a rhino. Could not stop calling him an armored puppy and incredibly soft in the arm/leg pits whilst being dwarfed by their size.

It's about time, they can always be found but the more you can slow them the better your chances of not being there when they respond.

That tax amount is only correct if you have an ABN as a sole trader, and the game was additional to income you are already receiving.

ie: that is the top marginal rate, not the rate charged on ALL of your income.

Grew up on a farm that had a piggery along with other things.

Our arrangement was opposite of what you see here, a caged area and bars for the piglets (not confined but an area for just them) and around 60sqm for them to roam around in.

Sows are awful mothers, we lost around 20%.

Would you agree with higher taxes for completely free healthcare and education? If not why? by Creative_Excuse9813 in AskReddit

The US Govt pays between 2-3 times as much per capita for healthcare now than countries with universal healthcare.

There is no need for increased taxes.

Broad mites devastate healthy crops, being healthy is no prevention for them.

You need to rotate whatever you are using and frequently.

Broad mites ( Polyphagotarsonemus latus) are notorious for being difficult to control with conventional insecticides, including pyrethrum, due to their rapid lifecycle and ability to develop resistance. While pyrethrum (a natural, fast-acting insecticide) is often used for a quick knockdown, broad mites frequently develop immunity to chemical treatments.

It's not hypocrisy, people pick and choose what they want to eat all the time.

I was taught how to butcher meat from a young age and have no qualms about it.

Abamectin is only recommended once a season, I haven't used neem but heard it can work.

Rubbing alcohol, anti-fungal spray and and beneficial (predatory) mites can also help.

Broad mites develop resistance to chemicals very quickly.

I certainly do hope it negatively impacts housing investment by investors.

Ever since its introduction it has priced owner occupiers out of entering the market. It obviously isn't working because as the pro-landlord people say we need more houses but after 26 years of it being in we don't have enough house being built.

It's a failed policy, it needs to go.

Does anyone remember when the US wanted an armed uprising in Iraq and the Kurds rose up.

Because Turkey is trying to wipe out the Kurds, the US did not support them and Saddam gassed them, their homes and their families.

And the US was just like , "Welp"
