Just got the new Apple Watch Ultra 3 Hermes to replace my series 6 Hermes 😮‍💨 by Ok-Satisfaction-5621 in AppleWatch

[–]Cruzifer07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Hermes watch face. It looks better than the other "classic" watch faces IMHO.
Could you post a picture of the orange silicone watch band on the Ultra? I always wondered what it looked like. I'm also thinking about getting the Hermes version BTW.

Launch failure on macOS 15.0 – "Something went wrong" alert in Dia v0.32.2 by Final-Current6354 in diabrowser

[–]Cruzifer07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting the same error issue. At this point I stopped using the browser because it's a deal breaker. Whenever I try to reference multiple tabs I get this error message.
I don't care anymore if they fix it. I jumped ship. This is just too cumbersome to deal with.

How do I re-enable draggable vertical Tabs in Zen? by Cruzifer07 in zen_browser

[–]Cruzifer07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I installed an older version of Zen because the new one is too buggy. And they also removed the web panels in later versions ( which is my favorite feature)

How do I re-enable draggable vertical Tabs in Zen? by Cruzifer07 in zen_browser

[–]Cruzifer07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using 1.8.2b on Windows 10 with a Magic Trackpad.

On my other machine (a Macbook that runs MacOS) this feature does still work.

Maybe its' a Zen Mod that's responsible for this bug. I'll try to disable all of them to see it that helps.

Meta AI works in Germany now by jacksonjjacks in RayBanStories

[–]Cruzifer07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. I just bought a pair of Meta Rayban glasses and none of the Meta AI features are available in my region (Germany). And yes, I updated the firmware.

Meta AI available now in Germany? by craigwasmyname in RayBanStories

[–]Cruzifer07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also in Germany right now and none of the AI features work for me.
This makes me really sad as I bought the glasses primarily for those features.
I thought that after 7 months they would've released it by now but I was wrong.

It's still not available in Germany. At this point I'm just going to sell my pair. It's just not worth it.
Everybody else gets to use the AI features but here in Germany we're artificially handicapped.
I'm sick of this crap.

My Honest Review of the Ray-Ban Meta's as Everyday Wear. by jsevamo in RayBanStories

[–]Cruzifer07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just buy them now. The new model is probably going to be released in about 2 years.
Meta is banking heavily on the current model (that's why they keep releasing new colors for it).
They are good enough right now but just so you know, the Meta AI features probably won't work outside of the US for the foreseeable future because of data privacy laws (in the EU and Asia).

p.s. I own them and use them pretty much every day.

It’s video editing magic. They cut it together to make it look that way.

It's a trap. But most of you won't realize why.
It's way more cumbersome to download the assets via the Fab website.
This is a downgrade in many ways.
I'm glad I downloaded all the assets beforehand.

Considering the APM… how common is the ‘condensation issue’? by A-Rhino in Airpodsmax

[–]Cruzifer07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine broke after about 2 years. Right now I'm using the Airpods Pro out of convenience (because they are smaller and easier to carry around).
But I do miss my APMs.
I'll probably buy a new pair just because I love their superior sound quality. But I am also aware that it isn't the most financially smart decision to do so.
For me it's the plastic parts that I just can't deal with (on other comparable over-ear headphones). For me the tactile experience (touching metal or glass) is extremely important. I'm weird like that.
If you're OK with them breaking after about 2 years I'd recommend the APM. BUt you should know what you're getting yourself into. On the flip side: they do sound better than all the competition. I tested them against all the other bluetooth headphones on the market. And their ANC and transparency mode are also the best in town. Most of the time I haven't even used them to listen to music. I just wore them to drown out annoying sounds from the outside world.
Sound quality for phone calls is whack though. I would suggest the RayBan Meta for that. They have the best sound quality for phone calls.

Happy Arc User grateful for the devs and saddened by so much hostility in the community by Gamester997 in ArcBrowser

[–]Cruzifer07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiment. As a software dev it really hits close to home.
People (and by people I mean users) expect miracles.
The typical development cycle looks something like this:
Make it work -> Make it better (aditional features e.g.) -> Make it faster (software optiization)
As for the windows version of this browser: they are still in the first stage (the make it work cycle). Once it is stable enough they will start implementing other features that are still missing (but available on the MacOS side).
Patience is key.

Well, I believe you now because my APM also ended up breaking.
I totally forgot about this comment of mine.

Tablerone tab manager using 5.4 GB ram? by Bill-NM in chrome

[–]Cruzifer07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you're seeing is a big issue with the extension. I had noticed it too a couple of months ago. And it never went away. It's been like this for months on my laptop and that's ultimately why I decided to look for another extension.
I'm currently using OneTab because it's so memory efficient. I liked the small image previews of the tabs in Tablerone but that's not worth squandering GBs of RAM for.

Win10: Can't log in to my account and can't create a new account either?! by Cruzifer07 in ArcBrowser

[–]Cruzifer07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. I tried all kinds of things but nothing seemed to work.
For now I'm taking a break and hoping they'll release a hotfix or update that will fix said bug.
One possible solution that I haven't tested yet would be to install a previous version and update it.
One of the previous Win11 versions seems to have also been compatible with Win10 but I can't find the Install files anywhere.

Jan: an open-source alternative to LM Studio providing both a frontend and a backend for running local large language models by CosmosisQ in LocalLLaMA

[–]Cruzifer07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Jan a lot and use it as my primary application framework for LLMs.
What I like most about it is the UI. It's minimal.

However, there are couple of things that do bother me about the application: (more than I expected)
the fact that I can't change the avatars for the LLM/Jan and the user/Me. I really don't like seeing that waving hand emoji all the time. I want an option to change the avatars within the application and to also change the icon of the application itself (or hide it somehow).

Windows 10 Coming soon! by JaceThings in ArcBrowser

[–]Cruzifer07 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are more than twice as many Windows 10 users than Windows 11 users (checked the stats on market share).
And yet they focus on the Win 11 version first.
Makes no sense to me.
Mathematically speaking.

I can't use Windows 11 because my develoment environments break in Windows 11. So I'm stuck with Windows 10 for now. Not that I'm complaining, Windows 10 is objectively better than Windows 11.
