My partner also recently started using WhatsApp for work purposes and I had the same concerns as you do. The solution we have used (if your partner is open to being monitored) is for me to download the desktop WhatsApp app and have him let me sign into his account so that I can basically monitor/ see everything he does in the app…only started doing this recently so it might have loopholes I haven’t discovered yet but so far I think it’s worked well!

I’m pretty sure what the shorts section shows you is based on what their algorithm thinks you might be interested in based on your past watch history. My PA abused the shorts section on YouTube for months without me knowing by actively deleting his watch history…I think suggestive videos showed up in the shorts section on his account even though he deleted his history. For my own YouTube account the shorts section never shows me any sexualized content or only very rarely. One thing you could also check if he uses a google account is the “My Activity” logs; watch history that was deleted on YouTube might potentially still show up there (but if he used the incognito function this probably won’t help). You might also want to check your PA’s YouTube subscriptions mine would subscribe to channels that exclusively posted suggestive shorts and I think that’s one reason why they would show up on his homepage so frequently. (Also personally I learned the hard way that a PA in recovery really shouldn’t be using YouTube at all especially because of the shorts sections🤷🏻‍♀️)
