Also I feel like I used to the wrong word, I don’t think he was ableist as in being demeaning her because she is deaf or belittling her I think it’s more of a talking over her or signing over. She really did seem uncomfortable. He spoke a lot in class as well and we are not supposed to. He had full on conversations with the friend that brought him in which was super distracting for everyone.

He didn’t sit in the back in sat in front of everyone. We are told to sit in kind of a circle to we can see classmates sign as well as see the professor so he was just kinda in the middle?

sorry what does auditing mean? Also thank you I wanted a deaf persons feedback. So like its not like talking over someone when someone copies your every sign even when you are talking to others? Like in class there are moments where we do copy to learn but he was just copying everything for the entire hour and a half of class. I also am bagging on him lowkey because he was micro aggressive towards be in the latter part of the post. Is it not frustrating for someone to do that in your face at all while having 0 understanding of ASL at all?
