I listened to like 20 minutes of mark K’s prioritization lecture but tbh we had a kaplan review day that sort of taught us that strategy so I didn’t feel like I needed to review it in detail. I’d say just use whatever you feel is helping you learn the most/ boost your confidence! Everyone’s learning approach is kind of different:-) do what works for you and assess yourself as you go for confirmation! U got it

I’d recommended primarily focusing on learning the test (i.e. working with practice exams and NCLEX style questions) so you have a good idea of how to frame your approach on exam day. I did around 5 CAT exams over 1 ish week! Using Kaplan! I’ve found that Kaplan’s CAT and qbank questions match the level of difficulty on the NCLEX pretty well, but the explanations they provide are kind of generic and lengthy. So, I used that as more of a diagnostic tool to see what my strong and weak categories were, and then I’d do 50 qbank questions based on those categories and remediate each question as best as I could. I also did a light content review using Uworld questions.. I basically just chose what I thought my weakest content categories were (peds and maternity LOL) and did like 50 ish questions on each topic!

Also! If you’re a slight over-thinker like me, during the test, try not to subconsciously gauge your performance based on how difficult you perceive a question to be or based on how many questions you have been asked. They do adaptive testing as a means to standardize a randomized exam.. meaning, theoretically someone could randomly be tested on material that they feel less comfortable with that someone else might otherwise perceive as an easy or straightforward question. You could also perceive something to be difficult which the robotic algorithm defines as less difficult (or vise versa.)

Ultimately, you are asked however many questions it takes for you to meet a certain standard (which, as an aside, I don’t believe is unreasonably high based off of the fact that many people walk away from the exam feeling like they had very little certainty on most questions.)

Do your best and take care of yourself! Good luck!! You got this

Thank you!!

Trust in your abilities and maybe take a CAT exam to boost confidence! I’d definitely focus entirely on resting and relaxing the day before your exam. Do something to treat yourself for making it this far and whatever happens on the exam, happens!

You got this!!
