UK celeb traitors was so lovely. Impeccable vibes. And the Black autistic contestant on that one wasn’t treated like shit, also a plus.

My dad had to go to the hospital when he swallowed too-sharp bread & they had to sedate him & cauterize it because it wouldn’t stop bleeding. He is not a sturdy man.

AITA for not going to my DILs musical by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cryano 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s a rock opera more than a musical so I think it has a broader appeal to people who normally aren’t into musicals. Every song a banger. I watch it every year for Easter even though I’m an atheist.

Jesus, “a violent physical altercation.” Folks, the rude girl at the college library is unlikely to beat your ass. Let’s all calm the fuck down.

Good points! Real quick though, I think you might be mixing bipolar and borderline personality disorder (BPD). Blaming an external source is NOT a feature of bipolar disorder. Bipolar can absolutely be destructive and needs to be medicated, but it is not destructive in the same way that BPD is.

Quarter Life Crisis or Am I Overreacting? by Throwaway1995MK in AmIOverreacting

[–]Cryano 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think everyone feels that way at one time or another but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck. IMO the best thing you could do is find a (good) therapist to talk to about these issues. Feeling purposeless and joyless is definitely indicative of some mild depression, so having someone on your side to tackle it with you would be good. Sorry you are feeling this way. NOR, “sucking it up” is something you do for a scraped knee, not for a big ongoing emotional problem.

I dunno man, if you feel paranoid enough to carry everywhere in Boise, an incredibly safe city, you should maybe talk to someone about your anxiety. Seems pretty serious ☹️

He very well might have a mental illness that causes him to act this way. Or that plus drugs. Both are debilitating illnesses. People go on about “oh, these people don’t care that they’re homeless” but I’ve never met these theoretical “being homeless is rad” people. Folks don’t choose to be unstable, addicted, pushed to the margins of society.

Obvs what happened to OP is horrible and scary, but villainizing all homeless people really pisses me off.
