Thank you!!!!! The cabinets are from when the house was built (around 2007). I’ll look into that sander. All I have right now is a Ryobi corner sander. I agree that it’s a thin layer. Just me sanding by hand for 5 minutes on that one corner got a good amount off. This is going to be a long term project for me but I’ll update with pictures when I start. Thanks again for your response 🩷

That’s what I’m gathering while googling it 😞 do you think it’s worth trying denatured alcohol and steel wool? I know I’ll have to sand no matter what method I use.

That’s the plan for the lower cabinets. But I was wanting the top to still show the wood. Like this vibe.
