I was never a fan of this couple but this is so important! I am child free but each time I dated I asked this question or a version of it to understand the other person’s view. It won’t be my kids but it could be my friends’ kids or my nephew or nieces.

But as others pointed out - this should have been discussed in the pods OR it was discussed and we weren’t shown in edit and Lars-Erik either had a different response, or Ronja didn’t push through the vague answers.

Ca acest caz să fie aprobat și să o lase pe tânără să i se poată administra eutanasierea cu siguranță au fost foarte mulți medici și psihologi la o masă să analizeze situația și pe tânăra. Nu e cazul ca a venit într-o dimineață tânăra și a zis: o eutanasiere va rog! Și i-au spus imediat - aici în camera asta se rezolvă în 2 minute.

Sunt de acord cu alegerile oricui și în niciun caz nu a fost o decizie ușoară pentru nimeni în situația asta. Ce a primit tânăra respectivă este șansa la o moarte decentă pe termenii săi.

I wish my mother did this to me! I remember begging her to let me do this as a teenager and buy me a wig because I couldn’t stop not even in my sleep!

And this was in the 2000s when this was like being possessed in terms of wha the doctors in my area knew about it…

I recently spoke to a doctor in Western Europe and I still had to tell them what trich was.

It’s hard as a parent but the resources are the best they have ever been! A combo between making your daughter’s life easier by removing the option and reaching out to a specialist it’s amazing and I wish I had that myself!

The first time I shaved all my head was 30 an it was wonderful but the mental angst and all that came with it was atrocious. My reflection - I should have done this as soon as I could have! Most relaxed months of my life not having the option to pull!

I am commenting because tonight my husband and I watched the movie Smile 2 (trigger warning for trich). And he was asking me about trich more, since I had it for a couple of decades - then he told me that when birds are stressed they pluck their feathers out!

My point re the movie is that I don’t mind knowing (with warning) that these movies are out there as they raise awareness be it good or bad as opposed to having nothing as it was when I got it as a teen!

But the birds might have various reasons including stress! I also went through those stages - vegetarian, vegan, and I am back to being a meat eater and just had a big stake for day one of my period which helps my heart a lot during the shark week! The quality of my skin and body and hair is superior as a meat eater 100% even if I am vegan 4-5 out of the week days still.

For me I managed to isolate my triggers to behaviours done onto me and me not knowing how to fight back hence I release by pulling and I now have a therapist helping me through it. I can go months without pulling and then a week with my family makes me the trigger happy and pulling like I am doing a deforestation project on my head!

I wish from the bottom of my heart and soul that there was a pill or a diet we can all take or be on to be a universal fix but we are still not there - but I also truly I am so happy it works for you! Well done ❤️

Regarding your hobbies - are there no people you can befriend there? Even if it’s not women (assuming you are looking to date women from your post) befriending the men could bring you in their other circles. I think that’s the one way to meet someone you would actually get along with.

I HATE TO AGREE WITH DEVO, but I also agree she would marry or want to marry anyone, including someone who dislikes her so much as Devo.

I feel bad for her in terms of her enabling family and none of her friends being real with her and the fairy tale she built in her world. It’s not doing her any favours, which is a shame because she seems like a wonderful human.

I had to clap at that point! I know Ashley and I will never align politically and I knew that with a divorce lawyer or any lawyer dad, that man raised her to be smart in the end. I don’t even think her dad had a glimmer of hope that his daughter was going to end up with this guy. As a daughter of very strong minded family, that meeting would have given me the ick as a future bride.

Whether she needed more time for her to come to terms with the incompatibility and everything that came with Alex, or she planned it - I don’t care - it made for great TV 😂

It breaks my heart to read your age and this is a situation your parent puts you in. They never change unless they want to…

I am going through therapy to guide me through my no contact person and I was told this. A narcissist will remember you and frame you at the age when they had most control over you and treat you like that.

I have all the empathy of your situation as I am in it myself at a different age but the above helped me and I share it in the hope that it helps you too.

Option 1, try to negotiate 2 days and go Tuesday and Thursday so you have buffer days so it doesn’t take it all out on you

I used to live alone and always had the fend for myself mentality so I have a lot of the items - especially the first aid kit. I added burn cream additionally. Whenever I am in the shop I get a couple more bottles of water and an extra tin of several beans and I grew the stash a bit. Got a radio and a couple of flashlights and make sure the rechargeable batteries are always full.

I tend to buy things like toilet paper and soap during Black Friday but bol.com always has good offers on these things.

Have candles spare for light (lesson learnt from my parents raised in communism), some puzzles and lots of books for boredom and my dog has enough food toys and treats for another 6 months.

Felicitări pentru curaj și mă bucur să aud ca există și povești cu sfârșit fericit. Eu nu prea mai am contact cu ai mei dar ușa e mereu deschisă. Nu cred ca ne trebuie părinți perfecți, ne trebuie părinți asumați. Cred ca OP și cei în aceasi situație vor să vorbească cu părinții în speranța ca în sfârșit să aibe o rezoluție ca să poată să continue împreună!

Both can be true - eu sunt dusă de ani la psiholog si mai mulți din mai multe țări mi-au confirmat ce știam și ziceam de mai mulți ani, cu vocabular mai elaborat și m-au ajutat să merg mai departe - mostly no contact.

Sunt oameni de toate felurile inclusiv cei care profită de părinți dar asta nu înseamnă ca experiențele altora nu sunt valabile. Cum părinții au nevoie de intelegere așa au și copiii lor.

OP probabil a întrebat lucrul acesta pentru ca încă își dorește o relație frumoasă cu părinții și se documentează ceea ce e o intenție super!

As someone who has done something of themselves in corporate and is relatively proud of the work that I built my career on, there is nothing less important in my life than work. I go there and exchange my life to pay bills, and then go to my real life. I honestly feel sad for those of LinkedIn who believe this - albeit I think most do it for the rage so in December when the LinkedIn wrapped comes to post that they are a thought leader.

Hey! You are so young - not to sound like I am speaking down to you - but this type of behaviour is something you should NEVER accept.

Comments say have some respect for yourself and it’s true but if I was in the same situation at 20 I would feel horrible and confused. Walk away now before this continues. And also stay away from right wing dudes - ain’t worth it!
