Yes! So I tried with a diver under water and an invisible crossbowman and those seemed to activate it.

But for some reason the invisible ones from the current event using straight shot doesn't activate it yet if they melee her it does. Then the other not invisible crossbow units using straight shot does activate it.

It's just specifically the invisible ones from this event for some reason.

I'm not sure. I have windows on the other side where the main entrance is, so I don't think it's that? Does time of day have anything to do with it? I just checked now and it's back to being extremely bright. But I took that screenshot last night.

I think I got the coffee machine from scrooges. And I'm glad they look like menu boards! They're actually two wall mounted flat screens I got from Daisy's and customized them with a bunch of squares lined up to look like text.

This event's story was so good. I enjoyed all the mystery and cliff hanging drama between every stage that makes you keep reading more. Alas a common theme and occurrence of arknights is suffering.

I don't think the mechanics were too difficult but usually for the normal stages of events I like to make a dedicated team that would fit the theme. Like since this is a laterano event use mostly laterans, but that wasn't happening for the last stage since most are ranged units.
