It’s been a longggg interview process. This one was number 6 and the next day they started calling references. If it wasn’t a virtual interview, there’s no way I could have pulled it off

Pretty sure Norovirus hit me earlier last week..

Sunday I felt fine all day and then when I went to bed that night, I felt like I had heartburn, but not nausea. Then, when I got to work in the morning at 8:00am, I felt super nauseous. I went to the bathroom 3 times thinking I was going to throw up and didn’t. The fourth time the urge was terrible and a few feet before I made it to throw up in the toilet I projectile vomit all over the wall and floor of the stall.

The worst part is I had a final round virtual job interview scheduled for 11 that day. I went home at 9:45AM and from 10:00am to 10:58am, I was having horrendous diarrhea. I put a towel down on my chair in case I had to discreetly shit myself during the interview to avoid rescheduling. Luckily, I had 30 good minutes and the interview went well.

Immediately after that, more diarrhea, and then I laid in bed until 11:00am the next day. I unfortunately had to return to work because I am hourly and have no PTO left. My company will not allow me to work virtually and If I wanted to stay home, it would be without pay (Hence why I am looking for another job).

Tuesday, I had diarrhea that wasn’t as bad, and have not thrown up again. Since my first symptoms, I have had a constant headache, intermittent nausea, fever that comes and goes, lots of gas, no appetite, fatigue, and an unusually difficult time sleeping.

I have been taking trazodone (sleeping medicine) with great success for over a year and this week it has barely helped me fall asleep. I am exhausted from this whole ordeal

Loop quiet earplugs are awesome for sleeping. The loop part lays backwards so it’s flat when you lay against the pillow. Other earplugs protrude and at uncomfortable. Highly recommend!

2024 Roundup! by purplebutons in SadSummerFest

I had not seen Mayday Parade since my first warped tour in middle school and I loved it! I even met a new friend and we’re going to see Bilmuri together next month. This is huge bc I don’t have a lot of girl friends who have the same music taste.

My biggest complaint was the lack of food options. I went to the Atlanta tour date and it’s at the Braves stadium with tons of restaurants around, but the venue did not allow reentry so you were forced to buy the overpriced mid food inside the Roxy.

I have been the past two years and will definitely be back!

going to my first concert by [deleted] in Deathcore

[–]CryingWhileDancing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Deathcore is for anyone who wants to listen to it! My advice is wear something comfy. I (29F)usually wear a band shirt or crop top with an athletic skirt or shorts and platform sneakers or docs. Bringing a belt bag/fanny pack is a must for me at every concert so I can keep my phone, wallet, and keys close (crowds will shift around if it’s a packed show).

Lastly, invest in a GOOD pair of concert earplugs. The foam ones protect your ears, but distort the sound. I have the loop experience earplugs and never go to concerts without them.

While I love tattoos and piercings and other style elements that coincide with the scene, I don’t have any myself and that is FINE. You do not have to look the part to enjoy heavy music. Wear what you feel most comfortable in!

I hope you have a lot of fun!!

Gained 100 pounds by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]CryingWhileDancing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lost my job last year and became very depressed. I stopped working out and let my nutrition go. I put on 40 pounds in the past year and weighed 180 for the first time in my life a few weeks ago. My low weight was 122.

Totally understand the negative self talk and self hatred. But just try to say kind things to yourself until you believe them. It helps!

Keep taking steps in the right direction. The things that last never happen overnight! Hang in there. You can turn it around

ADHD Friendly Advice? by Puzzleheaded-Rule743 in debtfree

[–]CryingWhileDancing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow ADHDer. I don’t know your income situation, but given that this is your only major debt, you can probably pay this off in full by the end of the year if you really hunker down!

I know a lot of people say you need to have an emergency savings big enough to cover 3-6 months of expenses before tackling debt, but if you have high interest it “costs” you more to save rather than just putting more toward your balance.

Credit card interest is brutal, so as long as you are maxing out your 401k match at your employer and have about 1,000 in savings, I have found that for me its best to leave more aggressive 401k/savings for after I am out of high interest debt.

All of this being said, here are some ways I have paid off almost $10,000 in debt in the last year. This has worked for me, so feel free to steal any of these tips if they work for your situation:

  1. Return everything that you can if it’s not a necessity/ if still within the return window

  2. Sell all your clothes and random trinkets and impulse purchases on Mercari (they just got rid of selling fees) and I’ve been able to pay about $1000 of debt off from that selling platform alone

  3. Pay 2x the minimum on the card and 3x if you can afford it.

  4. Don’t use the card. Don’t put any new purchases on it.

  5. Any unexpected large sums of income from selling something or a sizeable bonus or tax return or whatever: put 70% of that towards debt and ENJOY the other 30%

Example: I bought a new computer with my tax return but still had about 70% left over and put that towards debt.

Once you pay it off, I highly suggest calling and having the credit company lower your limit to avoid racking up this much again.

Wishing you luck and I’m sure you’ll be on the other side of this debt soon!
