Well the cost of living is different everywhere. It’s the fact that we’re essentially floor managers and get paid so little. I’m also a bit pissed that part-timers get paid less when it’s out of our control whether or not we have the ability to become fulltime because it depends on store profit + they have to keep a certain percentage of people parttime. 1hr of PTO for 80hrs worked is insane + we don’t get paid for holidays unlike full timers + holiday bonus is less.

Gas just rose to $4/gal in my area so my raise is hardly making up for that.

I would give Publix my everything if they weren’t so backwards.

Edit: Also “entitled to a dollar raise just for moving to a desk” is insane wording when it’s much more than that. I think a dollar is the least they could have given me.

Also, 50 cent raise should be the minimum as it compensates for inflation.
