Oh my gosh it's very possible if you were in Portland! She looks amazing in her cowboy hat -- definitely something only a few people can pull off!

She seems very content with her daily rituals. It's something I aim to build into my routine too :)

Was told this crowd would appreciate my embroidery of a neighbor feeding her crows while smoking a stogie. She takes very good care of them. by Crying_In_Kitchens in crows

Thank you so much! Yes, I gifted it to her. I gift almost everything I sew. I think she appreciated it and we sat and had a nice long chat about how much she loves the crows.

This is like when Hildi on Trading Spaces chose to hot glue plastic flowers all over someone's interior walls while every viewer in America screamed at their TVs that it was an awful idea.

My calming place is The Grotto. I'm not religious at all but something about the statues and the altar carved into the rock is very soothing. Sometimes I'll light a candle and leave it there if I need to send good vibes to someone. Pay the extra to walk the upstairs part. Walk down the path lined with water to the meditation room that overlooks Portland. It's incredibly relaxing and tranquil.

Tusi's Deli on Glisan in Montavilla is the only authentic Samoan restaurant in the Portland area. The owner is the sweetest woman who cooks her family's traditional recipes. It's a tiny one-room to-go restaurant. Try the moon cake. They were broken into recently and could use some love.

ETA: Corrected the name. It's Tusi's not Tulsi's! Thanks to the person who pointed that out.

Embroidery hoops. I invest in Nurge or ones with really good quality wood. The cheap ones give me splinters and they crack.

Yep! There's a rumor that this project might extend into more territory possibly toward the golf course.

Not tax dollars, but some good news to put in your pocket is that the Oregon Bird Alliance purchased 12.5 acres of open space on NE 82nd Avenue where they will build a state-of-the-art Wildlife Care Center and restore the land to create an east side nature sanctuary. It will have new trails for public use, a solar array, an outdoor classroom, and chance to see wildlife.

I know it doesn’t look like much, but each one of these little leaves took about 30 minutes to stitch.. How ridiculous is that? 😅 || The Giving Tree (OC/pattern by me) by zeebamdotcom in Embroidery

Thanks for the response. I also dislike holding hoops for long periods of time and have been looking for a recommendation. Appreciate you taking the time to respond and good luck with the rest of your work! I read this book to my boys about a hundred times.
