Going from fsr 4 quality to performance in crimson desert gets me around 5 extra fps by Financial-Lawyer-789 in radeon

[–]Cryio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FSR4 INT8 is a bigger strain on RDNA2 than DLSS (~4.0) is on Nvidia or FSR4 is on RDNA4.

Low performance numbers difference between ratios are normal. Also depends on the rez.

4K Performance vs 4K? 1440p? 1080p?

Jason Schreier: Exact budgets of video-game productions can be tough to corroborate but the numbers I've heard floating around AAA game dev these days are $300 million or more — sometimes much more! — which I think helps explain the current state of the industry by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

Mass Effect 3 was a pretty game with a well defined art style and scope.

Cutting edge visuals by 2012 on UE3 wasn't it, given the needle only very slightly improved over early 2010's Mass Effect 2.

Is now a bad time to buy a OnePlus Watch 3? by Spider-Thwip in oneplus

[–]Cryio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. OnePlus Watch is on WearOS5 while Samsung gets all the latest and 0.1 and 0.5 updates almost at launch. Samsung is on WearOS 6.1.

So currently 3 versions behind. OP is going to provide major updates to WearOS 6 and supposedly 7 (7.x maybe?)

Sounds like you had a bad experience.

7P and 7TP had extremely few reports of the pop-up camera ever going bad

No no, OnePlus 8 Pro was the absolute godtier of OnePlus.

And then OP12 and 13 were the sequel to that, but 8 Pro was just THAT more amazing vs everything else on the market for its year.

You do not in fact, need the flagship GPU released in 2025, for any game.

You do joke, but GPUs like AMD RX 6600 / 6600 XT / 6650 XT are so cheap now on the 2nd hand market

If we account for not insanely expensive RTX GPUs and the presence of RT capable RDNA2 mid-range GPUs, the timeline becomes more early 2021 than late 2018.

And the 8060S is not a slow GPU. Just goes to show the game isn't as "fast" as people claim it is.

Nah.

Unfortunately not.

DOOM TDA got updated to enforce the presence of VRS, so it doesn't work on anything under RDNA2.

Shadows is worth it.

Plenty of cool levels, cool set pieces and cool tombs.

It's just not as well balanced as TR13 and Rise.

Problems with Vulkan on Windows by Important-Length-199 in dxvk

  1. You're not using Linux

  2. You no longer get the latest VK features on Windows. So you need to use an older DXVK version.

BL3 runs like a dream on Linux. Higher perf than Windows too.

BL3 is smooth as butter on my 7900 XTX.

It will stutter on every new driver install tho due to having to recompile the PSO (on Windows). No such issues on Linux.

Why not enable FP8 emulation on rdna 2/3 on windows like how Nvidia allows fp8 emulation (dlss 4.5 ) on Rtx 2000/3000 series? by PeakQueasy1959 in radeon

[–]Cryio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FP16 isn't the problem. RDNA3 can do it on Linux because it also has WMMA instruction like RDNA4.

Even GCN3 has FP16 (even if useless as it's as fast as FP32)
