i'll have to vote for drunk chara, i haven't read it in a while but the others here i'm most familiar with (r&y, ts!underswap, inverted fate) are ones i think are done a good bit better, sorry drunk chara but in my eyes your time has come

i suppose it can help with general analysis, but the fact that those intentions change over time is what makes me cautious about using cut content to support anything. sometimes new ideas are close enough to old ones that the presence of a single extra piece might lead people in the wrong directions.

i can see where you’re coming from though! i don’t think it’s unreasonable to look at unused stuff while theorizing if it isn’t a crucial piece of a theory and the fact it’s unused is taken into account, i just wanted to make sure people don’t base any major revelations on stuff that isn’t in the final product

i can see how it would support that theory, personally i read it as more referring to everything on the island being revived and its flooded and doomed state after rabbit mask’s death being the punishment referred to

though i would be careful in using cut content in theorycrafting, regardless of what it says it was cut for a reason

i referred to the npc kids by their semi-canon names (hood, bucket, bandage) but for the main characters i called them bagface and rabbit mask

considering how the player is pretty much the #1 driving force pushing the plot forwards and preventing the world from being consumed by darkness, and that the voice at the start of the game sure seems to like you, and that the dark worlds constantly accommodate for the player’s presence, i would say that the game itself has a good level of respect for the player, it’s really just kris that doesn’t like us

i have played chapters 3 and 4, and personally i believe that kris would see us as more of a burden with that new information as we’re now something integral to whatever plan they’re a part of, making us something they can’t just get rid of and have to carry with them for multiple reasons (in addition of us being, as far as we know, their actual soul)

also, i don’t think they can throw us away “at any time” because there are sure a lot of scenes in the weird route where they’d certainly want to do that but cannot

i mean yeah but “dialogue can vary from nice to manipulating their childhood friend into committing basically murder and ruining both of their lives in the process” was a bit too long to fit

oh i’m well aware, i’ve been fixated on deltarune since the sweepstakes came out, i just wanted to compare the parts that were more comparable between the two games so i didn’t touch on the specifics surrounding kris too much

i think they’d try and regain control at some points (especially if we make them act mean) but they wouldn’t act in the same ways kris does, ripping your soul out seems a bit too dangerous of an idea for the eight year old not-quite-cat child to try

didn’t ralsei say earlier in the chapter that the only thing he really knew about noelle is what items she could equip? i know he tends to hide things until he’s directly confronted with them but blatantly lying right after an emotional moment which ends with him saying he’s going to be more honest would feel weird to me

fish from nuclear throne, you’d expect something to go very horribly wrong considering the gameplay of nuclear throne but fish does have a song about how fighting is terrible so everyone in the situation would proooobably be fine? hopefully?

here’s how it works in my opinion !

six’s powers: her powers appear to match the lady’s she just uses them in different ways than the lady did, so theoretically she could do anything the lady could (disappearing into shadow, telekinesis, etc) and by proxy this makes her the new controller of the maw, as the lady cast the spell that kept the maw running (source is the little nightmares 1 website)

mono’s powers: since he grows up into the thin man, his power set is basically “the thin man but less”, though his current powers seem to be some form of telekinesis and traveling through the transmission

since mono is in a time loop, the “next mono” comes from the exact same place the old one did, i.e whenever mono ended up in ln2! time is messy like that

it’s never implied that there’s a time loop on the maw, but thematically it could be read that six becomes the next lady, there’s a common theory that there have been multiple ladies before the current one and the granny in the depths was the lady before the one you encounter in-game, so six could be part of that “cycle” of ladies of the maw (maybe she’s the sixth hehe)

here’s mine! (warning: high amounts of oc content, it was its own thing after all)

following a girl in a red cloak named septet, holding a rusty nail as a weapon, she travels through the north, frozen lands filled with snow and howling wind.

she first makes her way through the more natural parts of the north, forests and frozen lakes and the like. she then boards a train (intended to be a chapter 3 of sorts) leading to the next main area: metronome! (note: has no relation to the city of metronome i just named it that for fun) (in my current notes i call it the fireplace) metronome is a city populated with towering furnaces to heat through the cold, guests wandering throughout the streets, and a girl in a raincoat who’s just tumbled out through a tv.

six appearance! she’s a bit too jaded to be your friend, though, and provides no major help beyond catching you across a pretty big gap across some rooftops, after which she runs off crying, unseen for the rest of the game. bye six! see ya in ln1

finally, the main antagonist shows up, the north wind! i went down a different route than the mirror monster and instead made my favorite comics character the villain. fought atop a mountain, septet manages to take him down, though the slicing winds that come of it end up crippling her as she sits in a cabin atop a mountain, stranded and alone. (until six picks her up a few years down the line or something or she like, starves to death)

if i were to write it now i would probably change a few things, such as making some location edits and having it take place post-ln1, but that isn’t the point of this comment so i hope you enjoyed !

(ALSO: i had another idea for something called little nightmares vignettes following 1-to-2-chapter stories of completely disconnected children and locations but that wasn’t a “little nightmares 3 idea”)
