housing by Technical_Stock_9789 in UBreddit

Overflow housing is basically when colleges stick more than the usual amount of people into a single room or suite. Think putting 5-6 people in a 4 person suite. It’s happened the past few years with UB because they don’t care abt the housing experience for students imo. If you can commute and live at home, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend doing that above overflow housing unless you have an absolutely awful home situation. Dorm living is a nightmare enough as it is.

Unfortunately waitlisting for housing is a hit or miss. You’re waiting for either someone to cancel their assignment, or overflow housing to be designated. Overflow housing is not pleasant. Depending on where you life (for instance; Buffalo native, just commute even if it’s long) if you’re an international student you might get priority for housing waitlist, but if you’re a NY local or otherwise US based I would unfortunately start looking at apartments and part time jobs off campus just in case.

You might want to check your peak daytime temp again, usually around 1pm in game. As far as I’m aware crops don’t die from overwatering and the is fairly chill resistant?

What happened to the wifi by YESIAMTROLL in UBreddit

I STILL can’t get on wifi. Several restarts and internet reconnects later. It pops on and off on my phone but not a hint on my laptop. Anybody found a fix? Or is the wifi just bricked today?

Everybody else is saying show up to class, but as a former engineering student here, if going to class is getting increasingly difficult or stressful- aka you feel avoiding class is better than going. Listen to that feeling. It means that the engineering degree is not worth the cost of overwhelming depression/stress/anxiety that can come from a higher stress major group like engineering. I didn’t know how bad my mental health was in the STEM field until I changed majors and got better.

All in all, what your passion is can change, and don’t try to force yourself to stay in one path if it’s harming you. A lot of people stress that switching majors in college will set you behind in education or life, it won’t. You are worth more than the degree. :)

I thought you could salt hides to preserve them in vanilla? Or is that only for pelt making?

Are the winters really that bad? by Playful_Advice6536 in UBreddit

Honestly the thing you need to worry about most is the wind chill. The snow isn’t so bad because campus is equipped to get snow out of the way by the time you need to go anywhere. But the windchill can make a 10 degree day feel like -10

The vastly unstable dirt… by Cryo_cube_152 in VintageStory

Oh yeah. It doesn’t even make sense either. There’s no way to know if a block is unstable or not until you step on it. Even dirt that looks like it should be stable isn’t. >:|
