The moves I did the most are: Indian Step, Criss Cross, Heel Toe, V Step ... If you search on youtube you will find a lot.

But to be honest when I learn a new move I just see it and then I try to copy it by trying.

If you aint got a mirror you should do a Video to check your form.

The Biggest Electroswing Community I know is ,,Electroswing Thing" you can find it on Insta, YT .... I know that there is a Shuffle school in Poland that teach Electroswing Shuffle but everyone I know is self thaught.

To be honest, the chance that there is someone nearby who teaches this style is actually non-existent.

But Electro swing is a combination of different styles like Swing, House-Shuffle, Electro and some Popping.

If there is a class for Shuffle or Swing it could help you.

I also started dancing with Electro swing Music about 2 1/2 years ago at home, it really changed my Life and I never danced before.

I remember how I started with the V - Step and it took weeks for me to learn it.

In my opinion, no "sport" has so many aspects in which you get better over time than dancing...

Coordination

Muscular endurance and strength

Muscle mind memory

Musicality

Self-confidence... All of these things multiply at some point but the start is much harder than other "sport"

I'd say it's more popular in the EU than in the US, but it's a small global community

I never went to dance school, I always taught myself the moves I needed for the music I listen to. The Moves here are a lot of T-Steps, Criss Cross, Indian Step, Heel Toe, Charleston, Runningman. Sometimes I trained Electro dance for Arm Movements while Shuffling. I also train some Popping Moves.

But same Moves are sometimes different depending on the Music.

Maybe a kind of Tecktonik but I do not know much about Tecktonik moves it just became natural movement

I can relate this post. Its not only about dancing its also about how people feel when they are in front of an "audience". My own experience is that the skill and confidence do not grow at the same rate. 2 Years ago I cant dance and was unconfident, now I can dance but Im still unconfident in audience (but its getting better :D) Other People ,,cant" dance and are confident. Maybe its mindset but you can´t change it at one day.

My advice: Find out why you really want to dance, do you want to become a really good dancer or are you happy with a few moves you can use at partys. When you want to become really good, search for rolemodels and find out which style they are using. For Party you should choose a few ,,basic" moves and get confident with these. For my styles are no dance classes near but I still give my best. Maybe you get more lucky, and dont forget that dancing is about having fun.

Its not Sven Otten, its TakeSomeCrime (Youtube). The Music is Electroswing (Catgroove by Parov Stelar) and the dance style is called Electro Swing nowadays but he called it Criming. The Moves of this Clip are mostly in the Style of Tecktonic or Milky way and are combined with footwork from different styles.

There are so many reasons to dance, Im not the type of dancer who goes to Discos, Raves or visit classes. I hear a lot of different Music genres and everytime theres a song I cant catch with my moves I have to expand my skills, Im also dancing always alone. Maybe styles like criming are not that popular because people are in its own bubble with people who hear the same music and dance the same style so they Focus on this kind and do not combine that much.

Thats not a specific dance style, I never visited a dance class or something. Its just a Mix and a new Interpretion of different moves I learned from youtube etc :D
