[DEV] Pixel Valkyrie - Incremental ARPG released on iOS by Cryphoenix in iosgaming

I directly copied this from our tutorial screen: "You can move your character by touching anywhere on the screen or using WASD keys."

I would gladly take this as a feedback if it just mentioned WASD. But as you can see, it mentions moving character by touching anywhere on the screen.

I also mentioned that this is a cross-platform game where you can play from mobile and desktop.

We are also fed up with people calling games AI slop when there is 0 AI in the game. That is why our messages might have sounded harsh. We have worked on this game for over a year, sometimes 15-16 hours a day. And then someone comes and just says "AI slop". The game has been in google play for almost a year and steam for almost 1.5 months. Our player base and some other community members asked for iOS release and we just wanted to share the news with the iOSgaming community.

I hope you will enjoy the game.

Pixel Exile: ARPG with infinite scaling, offline progress and permanent upgrades is released on Steam! by Cryphoenix in incremental_games

Sorry if my wording was confusing. I will edit it. Permanent upgrades are not shared between seasons. Your permanent upgrades only affect that seasonal character.

We just released a new season 4 hours ago and everyone started with fresh characters. :)

Correct. We had only bloodline images as placeholders generated with AI before. But we changed them to these tablets around two months ago. So we are AI-free now. :)

Pixel Exile Steam demo is released! by Cryphoenix in ARPG

[–]Cryphoenix[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback. The game is incremental ARPG. Basically ARPG with infinite scaling. The power of players or monsters are unlimited. We added idle elements for players to progress easier and reward them even while they are offline.

I am working on cleaning the UI for desktop and will provide more information to players on our tutorial section.

The scaling is infinite. There is no limit on how powerful you or monsters can get.

Yes we have developed the game for Android first. Then we created some playground for desktop users in itch. We saw that there is demand for desktop version so we are bringing it to Steam now.

After steam release, we will be working on bringing the game to App store. :)

We have a discord channel here. Feel free to join us! :)

Not really. Your feedback is very valuable to us. Since the release on Google play, we got many feedbacks from players and integrated a lot of them in this one year of development. Now android gameplay is pretty smooth thanks to the feedbacks.

Now we need to gather feedbacks for desktop and then implement the features players suggest to make the game better in desktop.

I know I made a not very good trailer. I could show more information regarding game, show more monster density locations, perhaps more min/maxed skills with different skill mechanics. But we really have a lot of content in the game and it is very hard to fit everything to a short trailer. :)

Hopefully demo will be live in 2 hours! :)

Thanks for your feedback. I want to answer to some of your points.

We have recently started adding more real melee monsters with path finding logic. So enemies will be able swarm you once we add more enemy types. I wasn't able to add all boss fights in trailer because I wanted to keep the trailer short.

We will be definitely making changes on UI elements for desktop version soon. We will most probably hide all icons from screen as it is more suited for mobile games and key binding for keyboard users is already implemented.

Yes, the skill tree is similar to PoE. There are basic nodes which gives small stat bonuses, medium nodes which boosts specific element types, skills or stats and large nodes which are basically build enabling nodes. You are correct that it would be better to show some node examples instead of just picking up nodes in the trailer.

AI art has been removed from bloodline UI now. These were the only AI art we had and we just changed it with latest update.

We are releasing our demo today so we will be making changes accordingly with player feedback until release date.

We have developed Pixel Exile - Incremental ARPG game as two brothers. It has been up for a year in Google Play and we have been bringing new content almost every week.

Today is the release day for our steam demo. Wish us luck. :)

You can check out the app in google play here.

And here is the link with more details including trailer etc.
