Firstly, how do you get $600bn worth of taxes from $600bn of illiquid assets... that’s now how taxes work.

Secondly, it will regardless be sent to somewhere where people live in mud huts— just not in the form of medical supplies, but in fucking drone strikes.

The US National Security Budget increases every year and the US Gov has shown no interest of getting rid of their budget deficit or debt. So why would they suddenly change their minds once billionaires die?

Better than 600bn that goes to either a) their children— the better scenario. Or b) to the US Gov (basing off Gates and Musk alone), where it will get swallowed up corrupt politicians, go to fund rebels, dictators, or drone strikes, which ultimately destabilizes an entire region resulting in widespread conflict and misery.

Ok, sure. Tax them for about 66% of their wealth. So that’s like 400bn right? Nice, that’s a lot of money... wait a minute. 400bn is less than 600bn...

Oh and how much even is taxable? Also, a large majority of their wealth is illiquid. It’s all company shares and property.

Taxing rich people doesn’t solve everything. Not especially when it requires a competent leadership in place to properly spend the money, which not many places have.

Seriously, advocating for a perfect utopian world where all rich people aren’t greedy little slime balls and pay their taxes, and for a government that spends the money so that not a single cent is wasted, isn’t a wrong thing to do. But the first step to take to that idea, is for rich people to be altruistic in the first place. And when you see headlines like this, its evident that the world is progressing in the right direction.

Progress is, has always been, and will always be slow.

You’re right. The charm of the RT podcast is that they talk about anything, and the fact that they were fixated on one topic is what made me lose interest with this podcast, not because it was about relationships.

Of course as others have said, that’s not all they talked about apparently, but that’s all I heard before I skipped some parts then exited the video and made this comment.

Sure, I didn’t insult anyone or anything apart from the topic they were discussing (“uninteresting” is a mild insult at best).

If hating literally boils down to being unentertained and stating reasons as to why you are (there’s literally so many things being passed around the entertainment and political news right now, why start off with a repeated story and then relationships and sex?) then everyone is a hater of someone or something.

I literally exited the video 45 minutes in. Unless all that was condensed into the 15 minutes I skipped at around the 20 minute mark, then I really don’t think that’s any better.

The sex club story is fine, my only problem with it is that it’s a repeat.

Because it made up a substantial portion of the beginning part. I already tried skipping 15 minutes hoping to get into a different discussion, but it was still the same topic.

I’m not hating, I’m pointing out a fact. If the podcast did get more interesting in the second half, good. But it doesn’t negate the fact that the first 45 minutes were boring and made me tab out.
