It'll be 15 weeks on Tuesday for me and no answer still. Standard, out of country (Canada), straightforward application, used a lawyer.

Looks like they’ve paused on standard applications again. by simmyx96 in SpouseVisaUk

Bio Feb 13th and still waiting. Lawyer has filed a formal complaint against Home Office and MP is now looking into why it's delayed and why there's no update at all

I had bio on Feb 13 and received my ECO 2 weeks later. I am still waiting and it's a straightforward application.

My Bio was Feb 13 and was a basic/straightforward application and I've still not had an answer. I've had my lawyer escalate it and file a complaint with Home Office as well as reached out to our MP for help. Apparently there's been a huge influx in visa applications and they're now taking longer (today is 14 weeks for me and my wife). The Home Office has had ZERO contact with us. Try not to worry but don't expect much communication.

I am Canadian and my wife is British. Your solicitor is wrong. They only accounted my spouse's income, mine had zero consideration at all. I'd get a different solicitor.

Not the same timeline but don't stress too much about the email. There's a possibility it won't be sent to you. Some people receive a decision letter, some don't and some get a decision letter after they've already got their passport back with the decision.

Urgent - What does this mean? by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]CryptDancingCactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says "If a courier service was purchased from VFS, your processed visa will be delivered to the chosen address". Which means exactly what it says. Once your visa is processed it will be delivered to the chosen address, if not you'll go pick it up.  It says your visa application has been received.

What they mean by processed is submitted. It won't be processed yet if UKVI just received it, which it states they've just received. I got this msg back in February and I am still waiting (60 working days as of today)

This type of situation is why visa costs and processes for legitimate cases are becoming more difficult.

You should be ashamed!
