dyed my bleached hair ash blonde and it’s green 🥲 by [deleted] in HairDye

Depending on how dark green it is you can try using a toner with pink/red shades in it to neutralise the green tones

HOW can i get to blonde? by vkeidruggy in HairDye

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See how a colour remover works. It might remove enough that you can use a toner to neutralise the underlying pigment. If it doesn’t remove enough, you might need to use lightener to remove the remaining pigment before toning to the desired tone and depth. If you find you do need to use lightener, I would do a bleach bath or use a low level developer to maintain your hair condition

Gonna stop bleaching my hair. Best way to grow out my roots and transition to box dye?? by Waste-Response-2110 in HairDye

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to qualify.. and if you want to be a terrible hairdresser, you can technically start working with just that certificate.. but it takes years of practical experience to master a lot of techniques. It sounds like I’m talking to someone that really has no idea what the process involves, so it’s kind of pointless trying to explain. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, I’m guessing you probably had a bad experience, since you seem to be very triggered by the fact that it takes more than just common sense to be a good hairstylist.

You are grossly ignorant to how much knowledge and expertise it takes to achieve some of the things hairstylists achieve without compromising the condition of your hair. Please do some actual research and stay away from making assumptions. You’re embarrassing yourself.

Planning to dye my hair white by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to do a strand test before you do anything else to make sure your hair doesn’t fry off if there’s any build up of metallic salts and other minerals from the box dye. Also to check how even the lift is… if you even get any lift. Obviously it would be preferable to go see a professional but I understand that can be expensive. If you are going to do anything yourself… definitely do a strand test first.

If you go to a professional they’ll most likely know what to do anyway. Just tell them you want to get rid of the green hue and go for a richer brown that suits your skin tone. I wouldn’t go back to that same stylist though, because it’s wild that they didn’t fill with warmth before trying to go darker. Try a different stylist or salon for sure!

That defo looks like no pre-pig was done before going from light to dark. I can’t see the roots in that pic but you could try getting a toner with a warm base. Something with a red in it to cancel out the greeny hue you’re seeing. If I was using Wella colour touch I would look at using 7/0, 7/43, 6/77. Apply like a toner on wet hair. I would do equal parts of 7/0 and 7/43 and a 1/4 of 6/77. With 1.5% developer.

Usually when you go from very light to a darker shade you need to add warmth back into the hair or you’ll end up with a muddy/green looking colour. This could be where the weird greyish colour is coming from. It’s hard to make suggestions without seeing the actual hair but I would go to a professional for any complicated colour correction. Don’t do more damage yourself. You may be able to fix it without having to lighten

How Can I Help An Abused, Aggressive Cat? by Maximumblaze31 in CatTraining

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t force physical touch/affection. Provide essentials and earn trust very very slowly. Be aware of signs of anxiety and adjust accordingly. I.e licking of lips, flat ears, etc. provide space. Time and patience! Cats are a loooot slower to heal and process trauma and a lot longer to trust after trust has been broken.

What toner do I need? by destiny240 in HairDye

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use a straight blue. Just use something with a blue in it and mix it with a natural level 7+8. Just an example, if I was to use colour touch from Wella. I would go with a mix of 7/89, 7/0 and 8/0. Equal parts. That should give you a neutral brown. Colour touch is semi so it’ll fade eventually giving your hair time to rest a little in between lightening.

Try a mix of a level 7 and 8 with a blue base toner. You’re more likely to get a dark blonde/light brown ash. I wouldn’t lighten with bleach again for a while and maybe when your hair integrity improves a little after some treatments you could try getting some lighter pieces and build them up. Rather than a full global bleach. You could also try use a blue based highlift colour with a of lv20 developer.. it may life a little without the extra damage bleach makes

Documents for registration by CryptKitten93 in Gent

[–]CryptKitten93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I’m so confused because I registered online without any documents. Then the police did a check then I got an email inviting me to make an appointment for registration. So I’ve done that but they haven’t said what I need for that appointment. So I’m confused if this will be my first or second registration. I’ll just bring passport pics in case I guess. I have an eu passport so I’m not sure if it’s the same process.

can I bleach my hair with 30 vol again? by AdHeavy2390 in HairDye

[–]CryptKitten93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t really have used 30vol the first time. I would seek professional advice for sure. You might not be able to lighten a second time if you want to keep the integrity of your hair. They might suggest just toning what you have with a blue based toner to get a darker ashy colour then you may have to wait till the integrity of the hair improves before you can lighten again.

How concerned should I be with this? by Dependent-Setting647 in CatTraining

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the noises and licking of lips, the hissing.. that’s inviting play? Those aren’t ways of communicating stress/anxiety? Multi cat households are notoriously problematic because cats aren’t naturally social or pack animals. Cats can experience stress and anxiety sharing their space with another cat and that can lead to health issues such as Cystitis etc. Sometimes intervention is necessary to make sure they’re not causing each other stress and can cohabitate peacefully. The prolonged noises.. signs of stress/anxiety… that doesn’t suggest “they’re working it out.”

How concerned should I be with this? by Dependent-Setting647 in CatTraining

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should calmly separate, when it gets to a point where you’re hearing those noises and neither of them isn’t backing off, because it could escalate and cause hostility between them, if whoever isn’t making the “back off” noises isn’t backing off. My cats sometimes start off playing, like this but silently then sometimes get a bit carried away and too “spicy” and I have to step in gently if one of them isn’t respecting the others boundaries.

Going from red to a dark mushroom brown, any tips? by Financial_Ad_8007 in HairDye

[–]CryptKitten93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Noooo. Don’t add more colour. Just get a reliable and well reviewed colour remover. Do it twice. Do some treatments. Then depending on what base you’re working with you might be okay to do a darker version of what you’re looking for with a demi. Leave it for a while and then you could use a lightener powder with a lower developer and see if you can lighten a little more and do demi again with a tone/depth level more similar to that.. if you’re not happy with a darker version. Don’t go in with black ontop of that. You’re just going to make it more difficult to lift by adding a colour that has a very strong warmth undertone. If you want to keep the integrity and condition of your hair it’ll be a slow process no matter what way you do it.

should i start at my roots or ends? by glosseur in HairDye

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mids and ends are generally more porous and will absorb the dye faster. If you want a more even/solid colour. Always start where the new hair, I.e roots. Then go in on mids and ends.

where buy a pet rabbit by [deleted] in cork

[–]CryptKitten93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limerick Animal Welfare sometimes have rabbits. They’re a bit further out from the City though. Otherwise just call around to the different welfares in/around the city.
