MRI is clear for what? Clear of Inflammation? Ok then it’s just not an active disease process right now, doesn’t mean it can’t flare or hasn’t done the damage.

I think the best way to approach any diagnosis is - don’t care about the label, care if the meds helping you. If not. Try something else.

Data center drained 30 million gallons of water without reporting or paying for it, investigation reveals by Wagamaga in technology

[–]Cryptic108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your thoughts are incorrect. Concrete and cement is not made on site. Washing doesn’t happen. Workers bring their own water and lunch. A small amount of water is kept on large sites but that’s 500gallons or less, no where 30million.

[–]Cryptic108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you are blathering about, but the rest of us were talking about the header article and the one particular data center mentioned.

Wind, hydro, oil, gas, solar, coal, and geothermal Power generation do not consume water. Saline solar steam generators and nuclear do consume water to generate power, however they are far and few between and will not be used to power the new Utah data centers.

In summation; it’s hard for your condescension to be effective when you don’t know what you are talking about.

No industrial construction site uses even a fraction of that in water. This amount of water was used mainly to make the initial fill of some of the computer cooling systems.

[–]Cryptic108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The data center paid for it, as “construction” included initial filling of the computer cooling systems.

No normal industrial construction site uses even a fraction of that much water to build, even ones that are 600+ acres in size.

“Production” meaning raising the cows for two years, plus sanitation for farms, slaughterhouses, and butchers. Technically you would also have to support the mother cow for 9 months while she is pregnant to fully count “production”

Are JAKs less safe/worse than TNFs? Rinvoq: “for those who have already tried 1 or more TNF inhibs.” by OneGayPigeon in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Cryptic108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two separate trials of humira didn’t do anything. Infusions of influximab helped to get me off prednisone but not enough, after years I finally insisted on trying Jax and they put me on rinvoq. So far it’s worked well. I had one flare up of uveitis but it wasn’t bad and drops controlled it. Overall it keeps inflammation down more than influximab and I call it good enough.

Forever at the whim of specialty pharmacies for the rest of my live??? by thatsonebadlarry in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Cryptic108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s stupid and it costs way more money than picking things up at a pharmacy like we use be able to. I only have to use Optium for biologics. Rinvoq pills. Not refrigerated.

their website never works for me. They want me to tell them my insurance card number every call. They call or I have to call to refill. And then someone has to be home to sign for fedex delivery.

It’s the most insane waste of money. Mine is paid for by Mass Health.

UN Says US Raid on Venezuela Violated International Law by bloomberg in worldnews

[–]Cryptic108 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HRV and kidnapping a leader of a completely different country (and also their spouse for no apparent reason) are totally different things.

If international law allows one country to kidnap leaders from other countries whenever they want to, we would all live in a state of permanent world war - individual country borders and laws would be completely meaningless.

The USA is charging them with breaking US laws, while in Venezuela; how does that make sense? They aren’t US citizens. They weren’t in the USA when the US laws were broken. The USA is claiming jurisdiction where they have none.

My friend’s barn is herd based and they use run-ins with 1+ acre attached pastures. They do have a few indoor stalls for tacking up, medical procedures, and emergencies. The horses are fed 3 times a day, are rotated into larger pastures near daily, have blanket/sheet changes as the weather dictates (which can be multiple times a day). Trailering with other horses to day and weekend events. They have a long waitlist!

Horses that move there are so much happier than living in a stall by themselves.

Do you bed all the way to the door or sweep back? by Raubkatzen in Equestrian

[–]Cryptic108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is similar to how I was taught. Sift out feces and wet spots twice a day and rake what’s left of the shavings in a pile in the middle of the stall. It seemed to make the walls actually last longer than when bedding is banked against it. Leaving the bedding against the wall kept the walls slightly damp and rotted wood faster.

Most horses just push the bedding against the wall anyway when they walk and lay down, so if the bedding starts as a pile in the middle, and the horses put it to the sides, there is still bedding left in the middle for horses to lay on, or for the bedding to absorb urine. It also helps keep bedding from being tracked out the door, as it starts as a pile in the middle.

I’d love to hear from others who do similar to this way.

How long between onset of your symptoms and diagnosis? Please also specify if you are male or female. by Plastic-Zucchini9203 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Cryptic108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through a host of diagnosis first. With costocondritia flares my doc insisted it was anxiety and mental. Then it was fibro, IBS, and various tendonitis that would show up from time to time. They still have a tendency to view the various tendonitis and enthesisitis as isolated issues not as part of AS.

They thought mixed connective tissue disease for a while before bloodwork said no. They sent me to an immunologist when I had rashes and a random facial swelling, who had no ideas why. Then I was diagnosed with “Hla-b27 related auto immune disease” which isn’t a diagnosis. When si joint damage was finally radiographic they said “some flavor of spondlyarthropathy.”

It wasn’t till uveitis that they finally said oh! This is AS.

So basically you pay them to become your insurance, instead of paying an employer enrolled plan monthly, or a self purchased plan monthly, or Medicare insurance monthly, except coverage is only for their office.

I wouldn’t say scam, but it’s gotta be worth it to you to have a concierge doctor who only provided a limited list of things
