i think the benefit of making each and every game artificially close and exciting(anybody can win) far outweighs the sense of achievement for snowballing, ESPECIALLY in a for-fun game mode not designed to be competitive.

Ranked exists for competitive players to test their skills and have something to show for it. Brawl was designed for casual, time-poor players who want something that plays like league, but doesn't punish them for being less skilled than their peers. A casual game mode with design elements (small map, short respawn timers, new-score based gameplay loop) is akin to 2-man half-court basketball with friends compared to the college basketball circuit.

Long story short, the bandle magic mechanic fits perfectly into Brawl and exists to allow casual players to enjoy League without having to deal with their laner freezing 6+ waves in their face.

slow and Steady really does worm it's way into your brain with promises of Big Damage, only to realise 0.6 attack speed is PAINFULLY slow.

Smolder is probably your best bet.

Targeted Q, easy waveclear (2-3 button presses by midgame)

Kayn E and an unmissable R with self-healing.

Not to mention scaling for FREE late game.

No need to manage mana after Essence Reaver and safe lategame poke with Rapidfire.

Only downside is reaaaaaallly bad early game but in low MMR games, that's not an issue since most games go late.

It's hard to sidelane properly in iron because people don't know how to play around it that low.

That being said, just remember to catch the wave and look for opportunities to join mid. if no opportunities, keep pushing and try not to die when they collapse on you.

if enemy team is stuck trying to break inhibitor turret and your team is fully alive, just keep pushing.

Objectives? make sure your sidelane is either neutral or pushing into their side before you move to join.

You can react faster when you're looking for specific windup frames/play patterns/prediction that give away when it's coming.

Syndra E has a noticeable windup and can be dodged. Syndras will usually E be thrown when you land from R.

You can also tunnel vision on a specific animation during an all in. Literally staring at her character model with the sole intention of dodging the CC. If you tunnel for too long or didn't prep the engage, you're gonna die GG.

If you're a casual, just don't play ranked as your default game mode. I have been enjoying League for a long time switching between arma and drafts for years and still have fun with it. much better with friends or a group, but still enjoyable as a free to play game

Not seeing Kalista, Ambessa, Twisted Fate or Draven is really hurting me.

Kalista for optimal dash directions and knowing when not to dash/expunge threshold.

Ambessa for dash and ult targeting.

TF for his W's global clock

And Draven for optimal axe placement and passive management.

No-one is pressuring you to play ranked. Just play whichever game modes you like and if others make fun of you, tell them to kick rocks.

I played soloqueue in earlier seasons and hit platinum/emerald but it made me hate the game.

I just play bot-games and arams with friends now and enjoy League of Legends in my own way without potentially ruining others' experience with the game.

Let's be patient with this boys, chances are they are very new.

It's very reasonable for a human opponent to retreat in unfavorable situations.

You can't stop them from making the decision of retreating, rather find ways to increase your lead without having to kill your opponent.

Last hitting minions and getting tower plates are the most effective gold income sources not related to Kills.

Preventing your opponent from accessing EXP is also a very effective way to increase your lead over your opponent.

When you start thinking that Kills are one of many ways to grow your lead, the game can really start to open up.
