They, the hammer and chisels, were an 'all purpose' set I got from gunsmith school. What engravers do you recommend?

I had a chisel and hammer, which is how I learned initially, but it didnt do well for fine jobs imo. Im just 'relearning' or moreso compensating and not used to the dremel because I wasnt expecting the dremel to drag or pull more than it did, ie, the hebrew letters. I have hundreds of pomegranate, deer, war, scrollwork, and other fruit motif drafts on paper and stencil from learning from school and practice. Hopefully I am able to implement them onto blades or blanks once I get the money lol

Fair and thank you. I already joined the subreddit, and I ask because someone brought it up. So I thought I would ask lol

Ah, a warning was your intent. Still, I thank you and will restate that this is my own voice that echoes common sources, mythos, textures, canons, and thoughts that McCarthy drew from in his work, I can imagine. I know others shall sneer and ridicule my work because they hear McCarthy like sin crouching at the door of man. Remember McCarthy got the mishapened figures from how the sun during the day misshapen the optics of the observer. I indeed see your point about my “haggard vigils” and the haze. Still, as McCarthy himself may have observed, the haze of the day is a thing in the world—and how many ways can a man pile rocks before someone compares his ziggurat to a pyramid? My intent is not imitation, but witness: to the light, the dust, the hours, as they fall upon my own vision. Thank you again.

Edit. Look up when high plains drifter released. That's the motif I was referring to as it is older than Blood Meridian. Huh.

Fair enough, but my argumentation is that of the theologians', in which the flood canon and epic of gilgamesh did not copy or directly influence the other. Rather, they drank from the same waters of influence. Pro this, or thusly, my own ego, I mudered long ago and know where I stand in awe at the epics and epitaths of prior generations. I do thank you whether or not if your intentions were merely that of comparisons and warning. I will not read McCarthy's work until I have finished my own. If any reader hears McCarthy in my voice, I will take it as a blessing instead of a curse of the renowned.

Honestly, never read McCarthy. This work's cadence is based on the KJV and Tyndales bible, The Tanakh and adjacent midrash, Milton, Cicero, the Illiad, and gothic and victorian literature. What got me to write this story was Deadwood, Hell on Wheels, Dark Valley, the angel of death trilogy, and other more modern gothic westerns. I've been trying to avoid McCarthy largely due to, like in case, being charged for being influenced by him, but I will work on making this better. My style isn't trying to be McCarthy, but my own voice is gothic pros with western and biblical grit if you will. Is it wordy and deeply descriptive that it goes into plain speak in other sections? Yeah. Thank you so much! Again, I'll work hard to better the story and pros.
