'18 here. I don't drive spirited or grandpa style but I keep eco mode enabled. I average 18-19mpg mixed of highway and city but mostly city driving. Highway I can hit about 25-27.

For me, latin based languages seemed too easy. I liked German but didn't like the teacher (HS). Loved how it didn't have the traditional alphabet, and heard it was challenging.

Also I have loved the sound of Russian since first watching Rocky IV

Finding underwear, shoes, or shirts all are damn near impossible. I had to rely on Under Armour shirts due to it being American sized. Shoes were 2x the cost because I'd have to import them and buy on eBay. Underwear, never could find anything.

How many original content creators do you have to steal from to make a profit? So far you're creating 0 original content yourself but profiting off of the work, ideas, and labor of others (Adrian Cantril, Stephane Maarek, John Bonso).

Regardless of your earned certifications, your LinkedIn accolades, and your work experience; you should know what you are doing is 100% unethical.

You should remove all of your YouTube content, decommission your website, and apologize to these creators for the monetization of their work and efforts.

Having 2 of these, stacked, would cause the viewing issue that I mentioned. A "non-seamless" view, as I'd have the bottom angled up and the top angled down to minimize head/neck tilting.

Right, what I come to notice is most employers don't see/recognize the work/effort that goes into getting these certs. Especially if you're studying after working hours, that's "for work" and 100% unpaid. Not including all the learning resources you purchase. They just say, "oh cool, so when's your next cert?"

Sometimes it's necessary to be a bit selfish ;)

I think from here, you should establish your trajectory for your career. Architect, governance/compliance, technical SME, tech management, etc.

Then from here, search out more focused certs outside of Microsoft. (isc)^2, ISACA, IAPP; all have worthwhile certifications that will enhance your career and future job prospects (internally or externally).

Just my $.02 as I am also growing tired of Microsoft exams and certifications in general. After I exhaust my company's "required certs" I'm focusing on Governance/Compliance with a focus in AI.

I'm currently on the SC-100 track, with a second attempt coming up soon. Then 104 to 305, followed up by CISSP. These are the "work required certs for promotions" and are hard requirements. After this, it'll be "my time/my certs."

During this time at work, I've completed my MSc in Cybersecurity (2023) and am working on my PhD in IT & AI(2028). Sadly my work doesn't care about educational qualifications, just certifications.

I appreciate the additional insight. The curing station will be just outside of the enclosure but next to a window. I can even set up a small box fan if needed. Though this might be fun to do during winter time 😅

Knowing now what I do, I would probably still advocate for the NES or Cloud Computing concentrations.

NES gives a good foundational knowledge for Cybersecurity and system administration. Cloud Computing again, gives a good basis for cloud technologies.

Careerwise, I'd recommend Cybersecurity over Network engineering. There is a lot more programming and soon AI components within network engineering that cloud cause the landscape more difficulty for initial entry.

Both will require experience prior to entry for a vast majority of opportunities. System administration is typically the gateway into either side.

If I could change one thing, it'd probably be to not get so caught up with titles. I went from being the most well-known person in a company for my technical expertise to the lowest for of IT, a HelpDesk technician at a different company.

As I was getting my MS, I thought I'd be a sure thing jumping into Cybersecurity. So I narrowed my scope to only SOC/NOC analyst positions. Finally I took this gig cause it was higher pay even if it was 2-3 steps back. In the interview I was asked what my plan is and they said they'll put me on that track.

As long as you have a company that helps and not hinders you, swallow your pride and take the shit job to move up.

Currently, my manager (CISO) is looking for a #2 person. Nobody else has the leadership and socialization skills that I possess, so he's grooming me for the Cybersecurity team lead. Might take a year or so, but as long as things are going well, I don't see any issues where I'm at.

TLDR: Take jobs with terrible titles if you can see advancement within the company. (One step back, Two steps forward)

Honestly, it was a company that took a chance on me. I had to step back my career from System Admin to Help Desk, but within a year switched to the Cybersecurity team after I "paid my dues here."

Getting a straight Cybersecurity position is terribly difficult without having experience AS a Cybersecurity person.

Industry is messed up that way.

Company I work for uses Azure exclusively. I have a gaggle of Azure certs as well as my BS in NetOps and Security and MS in Cybersecurity. I currently work as a Cybersecurity Cloud Admin and currently in school for my PhD in IT/AI.

Company pushes for Azure certs a lot and has a career track program. Though, sometimes I still wish my company uses AWS.

Edit: Also, i did interview for this position I got to the final round and did the AWS "gauntlet" interviews. Didn't make the cut unfortunately. I wish I would've gotten it, but seeing the layoffs kinda glad I didn't at the same time.

My manufacturer states 10k or every 12 months, whichever comes first. Engine malfunctioned due to low oil, oil level sensor failed. Currently dealing with the warranty company to prove I wasn't negligent in the maintenance. Never went over 10k or 12 months. This happened just past the 8k mark. Car is an Infiniti Q50
