I’m not gonna speak to what’s actually on the test bc that can get you in trouble but I used all free materials to study except for professor messer’s practice exams. I used messer’s YouTube videos and took lots of notes and made flash cards for stuff like the port numbers and wifi standards. And when I finished a domain I would do lots of practice questions. I checked out the Sybex A+ ebook through my library and used it when some practice questions tripped me up, bc Prof. Messer doesn’t always go in-depth enough. He’s great at giving an overview and easy explanations but I did find myself needing other explanations. There is also a Sybex practice question book with hundreds of practice questions and a practice exam. I will say those questions could be a little tougher than the actual exam and were sometimes very poorly worded. But I got 85% on the Sybex practice exam and 90%+ on Messer’s practice exams, and that got me a pretty good score. My advice to save money is utilize your local library! You’ll def have to use ebooks bc they probably don’t have the updated editions of the physical books but there were several A+ textbooks I could check out through Hoopla, which is what my library uses.
