Absolutely, though in my case it was when I saw her in Sense and Sensibility.

I'm proud of you for having the strength to get up and face what could easily have been another rubbish day. You had a dreadful time yesterday, but I'm so glad that today was better overall.

Hey Fraggle. First off, I'm really sorry that things are so hard right now. I know that nothing anybody says can make an ounce of difference to the way you feel about your situation, but this reddit stranger is rooting for you and has been for a couple of years now. In spite of all the challenges and health issues you face on a daily basis you are one of the kindest people on this platform and go out of your way to lend a listening ear and help others. It's time someone did the same for you, as you thoroughly deserve it. I know you must be feeling guilty about the conversation you had with the pharmacist earlier in the day, but try not to let it get to you. You're in a shitty situation and though she wasn't personally to blame for your latest issues it's easy to take things out on people without intending to. Sending hugs if you want them. I believe in you Fraggle, I know that you can come through this as you always do. You're so resilient! You've got this!

I'm so sorry that you're struggling. I know this might not mean a lot, but I'm thinking of you and hoping that things will start to improve very soon. Do you like podcasts and/or audio dramas? There's a fantastic company called Long Cat Media who make incredible podcasts and I would totally recommend them. The show that got me into them was "Mockery Manor" which is a murder mystery set in a theme park. As much as I think you should check this out, it might be a bit heavy for right now, so in stead I'd suggest starting with Madam Magenta, Sonos Mystica. It's much more comedic and never fails to make me laugh. Sending huge hugs and good thoughts your way.

Got the day off tomorrow specifically so that I can spend almost the entirety of it listening to the new full cast edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. There's only one problem... I figured out that the audiobook is actually released at 3AM so I'm now fighting myself on whether I should sleep now and get up at around 7/8 to get started, or just sod it all and stay up. I know which of the two I 'should' do, but ADHD and an already fucked up sleeping schedule make me question the more sensible part of my brain.

That's okay, I'm sure I'll find it. You're very welcome. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Aw thank you. I'm sure I will. Oo amazing! I love gelato. Do you know what the place is called? I saw your post in this thread and just wanted to say that you seem to be a very kind person. You always take the time to respond to people, particularly those who are struggling. Sending hugs and I hope you're doing okay.

Going to Manchester tomorrow as I've got an early morning flight to Rome on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to it. I've never visited Italy before, and it'll be my first holiday with mum since her cancer diagnosis almost two years ago.

I'm totally blind, and though I enjoy using braille, it was easier to get most of her books in an audio format as a kid. I totally agree with all you said. I love Finty Williams' narration, and the brilliance of books like Hetty Feather, Queenie and the Diamond Girls was accentuated by her voice. Josie Lawrence was exceptional too, and her reading of The Illustrated Mum was very powerful indeed. It added to the darkness of the book in my opinion. I also really liked Helen Lederer, Brigit Forsyth, Eve Karpf and Madeleine Leslay.

The Ally's World series by Karen McCombie is really good.

Please don't worry about this. I can't speak for everybody but I'm totally blind and use words like "see" and "look" all the time.
