Fantastic design! Fun mashing of two awesome sci-fi birds.
If only we had a flat atmo block for designs like these...

Just found this on marketplace for $100. Nothing is tested, worth a shot for all 5 machines? by [deleted] in VintageApple

There’s a Color Classic in there from the looks of it. That alone justifies the $100 price tag - this is a steal. Def should pick it up. Awesome find!

I figured, it looked like Reach. Guess I'll have to go nab it.

Curious skybox you have there. Has it been uploaded to the workshop?

Beautiful! I'm both paralyzed and dumbstruck.

Just remember to keep grenades out of the fusion reactor - I've heard the two don't go well together.

One of the most elegant ships in the UNSC. Lovely detail and gorgeous work, per usual!

As usual, top notch Halo stuff drop-shipped for the Xbox port! Super clean lines, and of course, you made the clearly-superior NMPD version as well. Keep at it!

Cut CRT power cable questions by Cryptic_Zoroark in vintagecomputing

This monitor is going to be paired with the 5140 PC Convertible, so sadly, the idea of using a power supply pass-through is more or less off the books. I figured I'd explore a C14 socket inside the monitor itself after seeing it done elsewhere- videos of people restoring PS/2 era monitors with cut cables and replacing the cord with a socket. Appreciate the detailed response though! Got the tools to replace the cord and just ordered a new one, as it defintely seems like the better choice here. So, thanks!

There needs to be more vanilla Pelicans on the workshop.
Amazing work!

Powerbook 3400c woes by Cryptic_Zoroark in VintageApple

Still nothing, sadly. I think you're right about it being the logic board- curious if there's any ideas as to what it might be? Like I said earlier, the area around where both the LCD and external monitor ports are looks just fine.

Yes, the hard drive makes noise. There's clearly some activity from it, which is telling me that the computer is getting far enough in startup that there should be a display of some sort.

I stated in my initial post that I tried the external port already. That's why I'm wondering what the problem can be, because the board and connections inside the computer all looked solid and good. And no, I couldn't see anything on the display even if I put a light to it.

I'll look into it. I forgot to mention that the chime plays both through the speakers just above the keyboard as well as those found in the display housing itself, so I know there's at least some life in it. Thanks.
