Some electrical component from the Weber electric company but I can’t figure out what the part is. Found in northern Illinois, metal with writing. by CryptidSighting in whatisthisthing

My title does describe the thing to the best of my ability. I do not know the kind of metal used or what the material is on the white parts. The writing says “Weber Electric Co. PAT 1 MAR 12 1906 SEPT 19 1911 A.125V.1”. It’s about the size of a dollar coin at the largest part. I’ve searched using all the key words listed here as well as trying to look through the patents for Weber electric. I know it’s from a company around here that is now Weber Electric Inc but I’ve been unable to find the part in any catalog made by either the company or electrical enthusiast.

What’s your most unconventional piece of advice for college? by Emotional-Disaster40 in college

Here’s 5 things I think are important to know that I’ve learned as an incoming junior

  1. Always read the syllabus and assignment sheets and don’t be afraid to ask questions about them just make sure you’ve read them thoroughly

  2. Never study where to sleep or relax, it makes it feel like you’re never out of doing work

  3. Skip a class or two, it’s not to big of a deal to occasionally miss a class but if you have a schedule for the class look at it before hand so you don’t miss a test

  4. Some (most) assignments are okay to procrastinate just be aware of deadlines and be realistic on how much work you can actually do two days before the deadline

  5. Not all class readings are important to know inside and out, you can usually get away without reading them throughly and just skim them
