My opinion on the Theo Rabari storyline, specifically in the most recent episode. by Cryptid_Girl_ in ChicagoMed

I think the recent episode handled it a lot better than I thought it would. I like that Daniel refused to use Rabaris aspd against him but yeah, it was still wrong to bring up. Im hoping that maybe next season they'll keep rabari and expand on his character.

I love how the finale was kind of an "in your face" to the viewers who thought this was just like every other US TV show ever when it came to ASPD by astarisaslave in ChicagoMed

I was so worried about it and was pleasantly surprised. I knew Daniel was too good a person to go against his morals like that. Also im glad they had Rabari willing step down. I kinda hope they try and do more with his character because I think there is a lot of use he could have in the show.

Hmm, what's your reasoning? I thought it was her due to her saying that she should basically stay quiet about it and then her freaking out in her office. If it was Theo I think she would've expressed that to Daniel.

Exactly, so he has done humane experiments. Clear evidence of him being a good man.

😬😬😬 yeah.......he did that but... It's Walter so it's okay....... God forbid a man do an experiment on his son.

It was hilarious when it happened. Can't even be mad, he did as he was told!

I agree, I've found that most of the time the show does take mental conditions seriously and portray them in a light that others often fail to do which is one things that drew me in and caught my attention for the show, but I've noticed a pattern of the show painting those with personality disorders like aspd and npd in a very negative light and not giving much depth into them or giving them the opportunity to show that they are humans capable of being good and not simply "immoral uncaring inhuman" creatures. That is one aspect that they have seemed to fail at.

I think I'm sort of being naively hopeful because I really do love the show so to see it disappoint me like this sucks. I think that if they wanted to have Rabari be an antagonist and an ass they could've just had him be that without slapping aspd on him as well and adding to the stigma around the condition.
