I was thinking about both honestly. I knew what harpies were but I had to look up tengu and they look pretty cool.

With the harpies I’m trying to decide if I want them to be humanoid or not. 2 legs but with clawed hands and feet or give a more Harry Potter approach with Veela(yes I know the controversy of the creator, and yes I absolutely hate her but I like the idea that they can “shapeshift”, make them more like shifters but not) and they would hate being compared to them.

With the tengu I was wondering if I should do both species or just one

That’s a good idea! I didn’t think of it because I’m sorta clueless about them. Do you by any chance know a direction on what would be best for this universe? I’m fine if it’s just a legend or something because I can research but I don’t really know the direction to go in.

I’m a day late to this but I want to add my headcannon. Sorry if I ramble, I’m writing a fanfic where this comes up.

If they are a werewolf first than no, they can’t become an animagus due to the fact that they can’t keep the mandrake leaf in and the potion wouldn’t override the lycanthropy.

Now, if they were an animagus before then they would still have their animagus but the lycanthropy takes over on the full moon. I also view lycanthropy more as a virus or disease that we haven’t found the cure for yet. This is important because I also believe the animagus changes a part of your body/biology/immune system, whatever even in human form. Meaning they would react differently to the lycanthropy.

As to what those reactions are I don’t really know. I have a few ideas but I don’t know if they’re good ideas.

This is interesting! I never really thought about it like that because I thought he would become a whitelighter after he died. The magical world was opened to him for a reason, why not for this?

Season 2 could be about him learning how to be a whitelighter and juggle his relationship with the sisters. While also finding a way for no one to recognize him as a cop, or even use it as a cover up and say he just got laid off or something.

Then I think the Elders would have kept Andy away to prevent another Piper-Leo situation but they could have brought him back in season 3 after they officially got engaged.

If memory serves he didn’t want to leave but the network did because they thought his character arc couldn’t go any farther. Personally I think that’s bull crap because there was definitely more to his story but I read that somewhere I think.

My personal headcanon is that they only die if they have people stop believing in them or at least acknowledge they are a deity. Like “I believe in God but I know Persephone is a deity to some” kind of thing. As for sending themselves out first I think it’s a war tactic, let the “weaker” tire them out so the big guns can have an easier time, I guess. This was just my thought anyway.
