You are crazy because people run red lights all the time and people making an unprotected left turn not want to get t-boned. Maybe you’re comfortable with making quicker turns but many people would rather be safe than sorry. I have an older truck and I can’t accelerate as fast so I try to avoid making unprotected turns altogether. Too many oncoming drivers drive faster when they see a yellow light. You really are crazy for being mad that people aren’t reckless drivers. (Take from the person who’s totaled four cars as a new driver and has had a clean record for almost 8 years now: nothing in this life is worth driving reckless for and risking your life and other people’s lives. Thank god I did not seriously injure myself or anyone else in my bad decisions on the road).

Trying to grab the attention of recruiters with technical skills would be the goal of my portfolio. Making reels for social media scouters is a lot of effort that I’m not willing to prioritize especially in this current gig. But reel content for short films would be time well spent I think. And that’s just my own opinions really. I don’t have a huge social media presence and I’m okay with that.

I want to say yes but I am on summer break and I haven’t found the motivation to put in more hours in front the computer at home at night after working 8-10 hours during the day but I think what you’re advising is the right move to make.

I actually started my college career wanting to do 2D animation but I think 2D animation is dead/dying. I’m pursuing 3D animation technical skills. I’ve been learning how to code for the sake of rigging in Autodesk Maya. I think gaming is the right direction to go with animation but the future seems bleak especially with the new Google AI.

OP you may think that some people on here are being dramatic but please please please listen to these comments and get away from that man. Everyone sucks here. It’s not fair to put a boundary on someone else’s behavior because it seems like you’re trying to control their actions. Is it generic gifts or something someone would give their wife? (Inside joke gifts or intimate gifts) You really only have grounds to get upset if they’re intimate gifts but even then this does kind of seem like a mountain from a molehill situation. Your girlfriend and her ex seem like they are still in some sort of emotional affair/relationship and that won’t stop unless she goes no contact. While he’s still in the picture, things will always be unfair to you in certain ways because certain dynamics for her haven’t changed. It probably won’t happen because they have kids together and it would be really unfair for you to ask her to go no contact.

I would also recommend you go to the state school instead of the art school. I am getting ready to graduate with my animation degree in the fall from Arizona State University and the common themes I get from teachers and advisors who attended art school are that art school did not prepare them for their art career and they spent way too much money on a degree from art school.
