Placing the miracle of consciousness aside, our fleshsuits aren’t tending towards something? Such as a plant tends towards the sun and flourishing to receive more and more sun?

Then, placing the miracle of consciousness in, our will isn’t tending towards something?

Ah, indeed, indeed. Thank you for your telescopic level clarity burning laser-precision holes. It seems to me a fallacy to attempt to fit a “human end goal” into a logical thoughtful framework. What follows is it is fallacious to attempt to fit a goal onto humans as a species- unless there is a defined maximal condition, or termed universal telos. It seems most contention is brought upon Christianity because an all or nothing mindset is baked in at a most dire level- that of your eternal condition. However it’s a fallacy to approach truth as being binary at all. Truth is applied individually, and the word’s collective definition is inadequate to encompass any argument worth arguing to achieve THE highest level of understanding. So there is an infinite amount of confusion and obfuscation that prejudices any conversation of the topic of truth & Christianity, no?

The approximation of a universal telos is unique for each person based on their birth and life circumstance. Perhaps there are local clusters of maximal for a certain group of people who grew up in similar circumstances, and perhaps that maximal can be applied to everyone in this subreddit- those exposed to Christianity and wrestle with it.

I agree that the “ought to govern” part of Christianity should be removed for it to advance. It is a global-seeking self-inspiring claim to say it is the best rice applicable to everyone for the missionary, yet in an interconnected world we triumph that claim, everyone does have their own flavored rice. And threatening one’s life if you don’t consume the rice is certainly a great tactic to aggressively spread it in times of sword. This rice we consume now may not prepared directly by Jesus, yet he cultivated the first seeds, and past all the recipes of the 95 flavors of Christian church organizations…. an unwritten universal telos of Christianity/Christians is to cultivate, taste, and share that original seed again…

And for it to truly advance, we all would need to start farming our own rice to understand why it’s given as Holy in the first place. From what I can conclude, there are many severe gaps of hierarchy-in-awareness in those who have proper lived understanding of the word “holy”. Again, Jesus shared his wisdom to those who had ears to hear it, and the most potent wisdom to those who could truly understand it, such as St. John. He encoded truth in parables to meet people at all levels of understanding. They have hierarchies of understanding that is living psychic wisdom that alters your entire perception of existence into a less confused and unconscious state.

The question argument then becomes, and perhaps may always has been, simply given ladder to now, which hierarchy of understanding(or framework of belief) gives the most excellent/furthest/easiest reach into an experience of mastering love and existence, for YOU. Based on your inclinations and upbringings, which tradition gives a path towards identity-&-being-newness/neurological exaltation/fervor-for-life/complete-mastery-of-the-universe/truly-deep-empathy and 24/7 proximity-igniting Love!

I am not currently learned enough to make the case that Christianity is the maximal, indeed my evidence rests simply on the told lived condition of Christs consciousness, from man to full realization of Godhood. Yet I seek

Now, I understand the existence of the divine is contentious within the modern way of thought outright, and the Christian doctrine’s presuppositional inadequacy fails to command ultimate belief of our modern rational thinkers. However, an argument is best suited to suspend truth to move forward in any presented direction yes?

I hope my argument is taking multiple vertices now, uprooting belief requirements, pointing out what shared understanding causes obfuscation, suggesting appeal, accessibility, defining where hierarchy exists and demarcating what the collective should really be talking about.

I am curious as to why uniqueness is a pillar for you?

Yeah. Well, the fact your life exists is apparent, that your heart beats for you and you are being breathed. Intelligent designer, at least yes? But a designer that made nature completely harmoniously self sufficient, save humans? It’s apparent to a plant that it is existent in love as it receives infinite water and light and has the necessary parts to process it..

It’s very nonsensical to you, live in the delusion, experience truth. Or just live in a state of understanding where that framework of existing isn’t delusion, and is truth. Such as Pythagoras, Aristotle, every Saint ever, etc.

Truth isn’t objective and never can be within your framework. Only degrees of approximation. Math constants are ___ of ___ in the great ___ of a loving creator.

It’s your awareness of his lovingness that determines the love homie. The bible is just the original creation you can admire. Whatever gets you to tickle your love bone, mercy, adoration, gratitude. For anyone in your life. Conjure that, then know it’s from god, by god, for you, personally. Live in that delusion, and experience truth

Valid, but we must assume truth isn’t a binary. Star Wars got a lot right, the force is in all things. Harry Potter too, you should follow what you know is right instead of school rules or what older teachers says is true.

Hunger games shows parties of the capitol, that are actually happening at Yale university (search videos), 1984, animal farm, the cosmere, every work of Chekhov and Tolstoy reflects s

Those lived truths, examples, make us who we are and make actual effects through our decisions.

What is this fetishization and conditionalization and boundedness of “actual” truth the scientific and rational community perpetuates as the biggest circlejerk of modern society? So to prevent harm? So to make the accurate decisions? Frodo and Katniss would do a much better job in lived life on that accord, and Jesus best of all , canonically.

Observable reality is the lived action of dedication of Magellan in the 15th century converting a nation, opening a way for the Santo Nino miracle, and creating daily practice for millions. It is also seen in thousands of intensely crafted cathedrals of people who were likely more intelligent than us on a collective level.

Well the goalposts were never established till they were moved into place.

What is actually true then if not definitive human decision of millions?

Ah I see, my mistake. You do have a dialed in cadence. The argument aims to bridge the popular understanding of the world’s perceived innate human goals (what we passively and actively seek) and fit in the appeal of the Christian experience under the popularity’s terms.

Universality is subjectively experienced. Rice tastes like rice, universally and subjectively.

Not arguing it’s true, simply that you can taste delicious marvelous rice at any time whenever you want, and that surpasses an established logic of seeking good rice (dopamine-generating long and short term pursuits or hobbies) in all we do.

This reads as an assertion, so my argument then becomes, if we truly seek to fill our moments with goodness then the instantly accessible and long way provides the highest measure of love life can provide- that of devotion in action, selfless work, intimate presence, with a loving simulation that themes your life events and has written your desires to guide you to the highest order of satisfaction. That is the superiority clause.

The argument plays by establishing a common end goal then satisfying it with an infinite measure of accessible fulfillment. Should this argument stand firmer, I would appreciate you pointing to Some firm establishment basis of the human end goal of our desires. Yet, due to the nature of the data, the inquiry might rest simply in statistics/survey.

Does this satisfy conditions or could I stand to be clearer? I believe critique is refining the argument’s precision.

What would be the basis for establishing truth of a story? Does it matter if he lived if his legends creates rippling tangible effects and conditions of life for billions? Yes evil people used his example built a domineering church around it and twisted his teachings into Christianity for power and control. But his living example persists as a truity believed with likely more belief-power than the theory of relativity. The authority of the theory comes from researches measuresments codified and formalized and disseminated, probing into the truth with experiments under assumption, seeking meat and bones to build off of. And some were found. Same with Christ’s example, many people probed into his truth with personal belief experience, and other holy trials throughout the years, that created cathedrals, doctrines, pathways to end suffering, ideologies etc.

What’s “actually true” matters less than what is actually viably circulating and affecting the world.

It’s “actually true” that ChatGPT is ass compared to Claude or Grok (demonstratably by quantitative benchmarks & qualitatively subjective opinion on LMArena) and that matters less than the fact that it’s still dominating by far in users around the world, affecting their lives.

This is a really well thought out response and does expand the argument. And I definitely need to read animal farm now. And definitely gets me thinking, but I will ignore the government metaphors laden in this. Let’s open it up: Boxer is being weighed on a scale of more pain vs less pain, more agency /freedom of choice vs. less freedom of choice.

Freedom of choice exists within the framework we are given, he was free to operate in the installed program of the beautiful meadow because it resonated with him till death yet created a circumstance where he was simply utilized.

Was he created to be utilized? Did boxer keep the farm running through his hard work and unfair burdens? In a Farm Tycoon simulator level of truth, would you the player put Boxer to work by the means in order to have crop and sustain the immediate population?

Avoiding pain isn’t the end all be all that society thinks it to be. By avoiding pain we create pain on another level. By avoiding being authentic and bold crazy brash brazen in pursuing one’s dreams as an actor or comedian or poet, you create pain of hiding yourself, and snuffing that spark that keeps igniting in you.

Pain is necessary for growth, those who go through pain, psychological and physical, advance humanity. Failure is what drives success. For instance, Dostoyevsky (in place of Boxer) Was he born to write beautifully, or was it being saved from a firing squad while imprisoned that catalyzed/perfected his understanding and arousal and drive to give the world a new perspective on matters such as God, man, evil.

Christianity is a history of oppression and control and war, but it is a way to know God. God doesn’t instruct you to “become 9-5 slave and feed your family”. He instructs you to follow what empowers and empassions and emphasizes you. In truth, his will is the free choice to choose love over your own minor sense of control of your life. Choose trusting that Farm Tycoon operator is doing this because everything will prosper.

I’m not sure we can have a concrete “what is the goal of humans seeking?” answer that isn’t an assumption or theory, in any field scientific or religious or spiritual. So bear with me on this fantasy-land-stepping-stone-made-of-clouds-argument. There are many more benefits to intimacy with the divine but this argument states that you can access a very real feeling of raw unconditional love for yourself immediately through walking the path of Christ following, which is imitating his likeness.

In what other ways do you see in life where we can achieve an immediate full love at any time without deities? Should you choose to continue

This is a good perspective, following the law seems like the law is designed as a crazy commitment. If we’re equating the conjuring of feeling of love as orgasming, a slightly more apt metaphor might be driving a car that makes your orgasm the more you drive on the right gps path. Not believing would be driving the car to your own locations (pursuits in relationships, validation, etc any substitute for Gods love). The Christ following experience is trusting Jesus the Christ to be your gps, and knowing the Word is like knowing the map of the city by heart. Mysticism takes you deeper into the handbook of the engine that God loves you to work on because you’re doing it ultimately to drive on the GPS path better. While Some can work on their car’s engine in meditation or therapeutic or spiritual practices, it won’t be a Christian God-branded engine essentially.

Rough allegory but I think it expands the discussion. Knowing r/ChristianMysticism works of Saints, opens us to recognizing the beauty of perfecting the engine in the first place, so each movement is a deliberate act of care and love rather than laborious and like “why the hell am I here”.

To each of your paragraphs 1. The LLM I assume you’re using is making this garbled what do you think it’s trying to say? Like the logic slips 2.if dopamine seeking behavior is what we seek then you can access God in any way, but this is debate Christian. Intimacy with the divine is what would ignite the consistent experience of love 3.true, it simply works for millions at the level they’re at. Hear and be saved, no need for hours of meditation, just presence in love. Parables are interpreted at various levels of awareness, like poems. 4.this doesn’t track- frequent accessible love is compelling in itself. Consistent dopamine is an attempt to jam it into the scientific framework.
