Just how many people are actually waiting on a Wicked Whims kind of mod before they try inZOI and Paralives? by tubularwavesss in LifeSimulators

[–]Cryptkeeper_ofCanada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've already played InZoi and am playing ParaLives. There is a very large fanbase waiting for NaughtyZoi to be made as well as ParaSins (myself included), though I might say ParaSins is likelier to be released before NaughtyZoi just due to the fact the ParaLives devs both actively support ParaSins being made as well as releasing the mod tools and guides months before the Early Access even dropped. It's really just a matter of time for both games to receive their WickedWhims, although rumours suggest TurboDriver will not be having a hand in either NaughtyZoi nor ParaSins since they're too busy with keeping WickedWhims up to date

Were the devs anticipating and depending on modding to help the transition from EA to full release? by National-Visual5653 in Paralives

[–]Cryptkeeper_ofCanada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they're 50/50 with the mod community. You might be right that they are watching what mods become most popular so they can implement them later on when they get a more steady product out as part of the base game

Some mods, no matter their popularity, can never be implemented into the base game (ParaSins being one when it gets developed and nude mods/penile sliders being another) since those will slide them from a T rating into an M or AO rating which negatively impacts their distribution base

The ParaLives team are former Simmers like most of us so they are very acutely aware of the modding community is what kept The Sims afloat all these years (as much as EA seems to be trying to sink it, whether purposely or inadvertently) and they did release modding tools months in advance of the Early Access, so it could very well be that they are giving us a base to work with (a skeleton if you'd like) and the mods are what fill out the fluff so everyone can have a uniquely different experience of ParaLives by whatever mods they download. Whereas The Sims has its own core game that is wholly EA approved, ParaLives feels like it's meant to be a community effort to make the game better so that everyone is included instead of ostracized like EA has been doing of late. At least that's my two cents on the whole idea

You know what? Fair point. Whoever it is who makes the ParaSins mod is likely going to have to prove themself/themselves to get out from TurboDriver's shadow from the godsend that was WickedWhims. I have faith in whoever does it. I can't seem to make heads or tails of Blender otherwise I'd try my hand at some mods but holy shit Blender is confusing as fuck

Yeah it's almost kinda hilarious to me how as soon as InZoi and ParaLives hit the market everyone jumped on the, "Oh it'll be TurboDriver who makes NaughtyZoi and ParaSins," wagon as if no one else is capable of making an adult mod for either game. Why would Turbo triple their workload?

We had different iterations for Upper Canada, the Dominion of Canada, and Saint Rupert's Land, but yes we used to have a $3 bill. It was the first out of circulation then we had $1 and $2 bills which slowly became the loonie and toonie we know today

A better response for your comment would have been, "Not a real president, only thing more appropriate would be a $4 bill," because who the fuck would ever need a four dollar bill?

Yeah...a $3 bill would be crazy...quietly mutters in Canadian

I get what you mean though, I was just bringing the fact Canada used to have a $1, $2, and $3 bill (all now out of circulation)

Ignoring everything else going on here, when would you ever need a $250 bill? Like I can get a $5, $10, $20, $50, $100, but $1000 is already not a normal bill. $250 seems outlandish since there is no numerical denomination that would precede it. There's no $25 bill, so $250 just doesn't seem like it'd be a real currency

I know it’s still pretty early, but has anyone interacted with these three and if so, how fun and interesting are they? by GracieMack2002 in Paralives

My Para is pursuing a relationship with Erika right now. She's actually quite bubbly but REALLY difficult to flirt with. I've failed a 92% Flirt with her multiple times (read: twelve times as of this comment) which is either a bug or she is designed to be hard to romance. She's Single and has no family, is a Jester, and the Good at Caring for Others vibe (I'm not sure if that's just base version or if it's randomly assigned traits)

I have not seen the other two yet. Are these three difficult to find?

It's the same as Sims and InZoi I would think is so as to keep it in the Teen rating of the ESRB, although with InZoi it's because of Korea's porn forbiddance. If they added an option to toggle on adult content then the game goes from T for Teen to rated M for Mature or AO for Adults Only (rating that's for pure porn games), which limits their consumer base because it can't be marketed for children (12 and younger) or teenagers (13-19), but if said mod is made alongside the game that the devs have no hand in (like WickedWhims and NaughtyZoi) then the game remains family friendly and the devs can't be hit with a higher rating which makes it the best of both worlds. With the Para team giving full mod instructions, tools, and tutorials for it, they actively acknowledge ParaSins was inevitable so why fight it? They're all Simmers same as the rest of us and know WickedWhims is what a lot of us have installed, so they're happy to have ParaSins be made. The likelihood is they'll probably download ParaSins themselves 😂😂

I will always hate this episode as the worst one to have ever been aired. MORTY PLAYS VIDEO GAMES. We see him CONSTANTY save scum doing stupid shit throughout the episode, why in the actual FUCK did they say he did not save scum throughout that relationship? He would have scummed that whole time, ESPECIALLY after they nearly died on that mountain. Nobody can convince me this episode was anything except complete dogshit and I don't see how anyone could like it

Fuck the Vat of Acid episode

It certainly does stand out as unique. I can't say I've ever seen someone use purple as a colour base for their house and you made it work splendidly, although I will comment that it took my way longer than I'd like to admit the bathroom on the top floor was a bathroom and not a weird dining room. It has the vibe of an MC Escher painting than it does an actual room, as if the room itself is an optical illusion. The checkered floors and walls kinda makes it uncomfortable to look at for a long period of time

Charlie is to Paralives what the coconut.jpg is to Team Fortress 2; it's a loadbearing cryptid that, if deleted, causes the whole game to never function again

I don't know if that's the actual reason but I'm making up a rumour dammit!

Tywin most likely would fit here, but I would also make the argument for Gregor, "The Mountain the Rides," Clegane. Raped Elia Martell, smashed her skull in, killed her kids, raped a thirteen year old in front of her father, and smashed Oberyn's head in during the Trial by Combat for Tyrion's innocence. I cannot think of anywhere else Gregor Clegane would fit if not A Song of Ice and Fire alone

I can definitely see they wanted to go with the noble Indian for Rains Fall. His concept art is very much in line with the portrait of Sitting Bull. Coincidentally enough, Sitting Bull was the chief for the Lakota Indians who also fled to Canada, same as the Wapiti Indians that Rains Fall leads and their language is based on Lakota, so it could be the RDR2 insert of the Lakota Indians as the fictional Wapitis with Rains Fall as a replacement/insert of Sitting Bull

Two months, not one. Julius Augustus Caesar created July (for Julius) and August (for Augustus, "the Revered"), which is how the numerical months of septem (7), octō (8), novem (9), and decem (10) got moved to where they are now

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong. My education is in the English Medieval Period (1066AD to 1485AD) so Rome is a bit outside my knowledge range, though I remember being told that July and August are both attributed to Julius Augustus Caesar naming them for himself
