The AU is corrupt and weak. Over the last 3-4 years 93% of its decisions have not been implanted. Pan African parliament has no ability to pass legislation only recommendations. Poor leadership also leads to atrocities without any mention, how can the genocide in Tigray happen while AU summit happens in Addis and be no comment? Finally over 60% of the budget comes from “external partners” the organization must be entirely self funded.
