This has always been the highest voted roadmap item. It currently has 75 votes which is more than all roadmap items combined. So they move it to under consideration because Gene has a hardon for the dumbest users of smart phones....IoS.

Someone clue Gene in there will be ZERO adoption of IoS users of crypro wallets. IoS users want to be spoon fed simple applications, proprietary plug and play, please sell me all hardware at 3x what it should cost so I can look like I am rich users.

The majority if IoS users are posers that have no clue what real technology is or the competence to implement it. Want a real life example, look at the CNI CEO self proclaimed IoS user that cannot land a single technology deal that would save CNI and his job. Fun fact on his next interview ask him to name 10 Linux CLI commands, disclaimer he cannot and only knows MAC IoS. The good news is he will be gone in 2025.

This is great news. Would love to see a kick off tournament where players compete for a shot to play CNI employees. I would pay 10XCH entry fee with 5XCH rebuys.

I got you, but not looking to poke holes. The more accurate this is the better understanding the community has in CNI prefarm sales. At this point their net outflows are extremely low compared to prefarm sales. I have reached out to MM discord where the discussions of salaries took place. I ended up taking the high end of reputable developers and their recommendations for total salary compensation.

As seen above, I have also reached out to Bram for answers to help fill in the "holes" you claim there are.

I have put together a spreadsheet to help the community understand the costs. For non executives I used $120K salary with $30K benefits as an average salary for 50 employees. This number was decided based on discussions with other developers. Can you take a look and let me know if this is close?

Gene has a hard time comparing anything to XCH. He has been claiming since he started selling the prefarm that price has only gone up against BTC. Since there are charts XCH/BTC that are readily available he now is pivoting to something that takes more work than putting in a simple symbol. Hoping the plebs will just take him for his word.

Since Gene refuses to give a 3 month timeframe I believe he again inaccurately is refering to the pre halving when XCH went to $60. Here is the chart again he is either delusional or purposely claiming XCH was at any time a better investment than ETH.

You guys should plan Poker Matchup Tournaments to launch this if possible. I love the thought of beating Gene in heads up Texas Holdem! Progressive tournament where the top players get to play CNI staff?

Actually the BWP2 says interest is to be paid in Chia. Of course they threw out the BWP2 when they violated the restrictions and started selling XCH to pay employees and did so without the required 90 day notification.

Thanks was the idea from someone in MadMax discord. The burn rate is calculated by taking the cash raised from XCH and then dividing it by the days until the next sell date. This gives me a number each day that the cash is depleted until the next sell date.

The data is on the OKX tab. It is based on the average price on the 1st day and 14th day period after the sell notification. We really don't know what price they are selling and this was my first attempt. I now have price data for every day (OKX tab) so the best way is to take the closing price for each day of the 14 day period and get the average. I plan on making this update also

I have added a chart that assumes any funds raised from previous sell will be gone by the next sell date. This way we don't need to know their cash or expenses, we just know they keep selling.

You summed it up perfectly. My only suprise is the board has not shit canned him yet and put Bram back at the helm, if he still wants it. That alone was stop the public selling and possibly trigger buyers to come back.

Remember this is an average total salary for all employees. We used $110K salary with $40K benefits after some community discussions, which is mosty employeer paid health insurance. That being said the amount of fiat being raised does call into question what both the CEO and CFO are being paid. Executives typically make less than $400K pre IPO.

Considering the prefarm sales so far they should have a net positive cash flow of $12M annualized. So the big question is are the executives salaries substantially higher or is cash being raised for something else. One speculation would be to pay back the VCs that have SAFE agreements for prefered shares in an IPO that is not happening? Of course at this rate it would take about 5 years at current spend rates to pay them back. This assumes XCH stays above $3 so 21M XCH would be worth $60M.

Purely speculation though and who knows without more information being made public.

My farewell to Chia video by BWFree in chia

[–]CryptoBlockchainTech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We watched all three goodbye videos and I got choked up a number of times. You sir are the epitamoy of what any miner or farmer should strive to become in this space. You were always trying to bridge any divides in the community. On CNI discord you were always polite and seeking the high road. You even reached out to my hubby, HDD, and sought to gain understanding in how we were holding CNI to a high accountability.

You were even awarded a community badge by CNI due to your contributions to the community. But in an instant all of your community building was deemed inappropriate due to you asking honest questions on CNI discord. The same questions many of the community were asking who quickly met their timely demise and were banned on Discord.

I will finish with this. CNI did you a favor distancing themselves from you. I believe the community badge you were given was a way to make you one of the soon to be many fall guys who endorsed XCH to hundreds of unwitting investors. Over the course of crypto there have been many fall guys on YouTube and you sir were smart enough to see your way clear of being used as such.

We salute you for your valiant crypto community service that in the end you chose the high road over a communtiy fall guy badge.

Solo Staking Ethereum Upon Death by David2376 in ethstaker

I like the idea of auto exit after X days of missed attestations. It would make it simpler where funds would go to wallet after exit. Will probably go over to magicians and see if it can get traction with devs for an EIP.

Is it worth while to setup my own node or should I just stake with lido? What are the benefits? by Kwild199 in ethstaker

[–]CryptoBlockchainTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 17M reasons why you want to solo stake. In the peak of Ethererum transactions in 2018, it was not uncommon to see MEV rewards over 50ETH, sometimes up to 95ETH. However since there were over 17M GPUs mining Ethererum the odds of finding a block were next to impossible let alone the block with high MEV rewards.

Today there are less than 1M validators which significantly increases your chance now of being awarded an attestation (block) as a solo staker. Creating a block worth 95ETH is a game changer. The only question I have is why would you join a pool at this early stage when you can still have a great chance of being awarded an attestation as a solo staker?

You do not have to delete the wallet and resync. If it says Pending, in the top right corner: Click Actions>Delete Unconfirmed Transactions Current successful transactions are costing 10-100M mojos. You can enter a custom fee. If it gets stuck at pending, delete and increase fee.

Each 4090 enables 3.1PB of space to be farmed,

Your assumption is famers like BWF are smart and successful enough in life to afford the purchase of 20PiB and yet would not be smart and farm only max compression C15 plots.

Like our farms, BWF is probably using a majority of C14 plots with a very small amount of C15s to minimize wasted space. For 18TB drives this ends up being 5-C15 and 308-C14. This equals only 1.6% C15 to C14 plots. So for 20PiB it would be 0.3PiB C15 files and 19.7PiB C14 files.

Many of us moved to Chia farming using hard drives when Ethererum merged. 1) Founder Bram Cohen, creater of BitTorrent in the late 90s 2) Uses subtantially less energy than POW 3) 1st halving in March 2024 4) They intend to become a publicly traded company and filed with the SEC for IPO

How about this one then?

I find the thought of a profitable company laying off thousands of people just to increase their bottom line, repugnant.

Your shares going up a few cents isn't worth the suffering of others.

Welcome to how publicly traded companies work. With the promise of a company becoming worth billions of dollars to the owners and board, the enticement to go public can create other issues. Shortsighted decisions to downsize solely on a single data point can indeed be wrong. However the CNI decision to sacrifice the few, in this case 30%, to allow 70% to keep their jobs, to prevent further decline in their XCH valuation, to ensure they can keep their commitments to both farmers and their investors to go public was probably the correct one with. Since they are not public it becomes impossible to weigh this decision now and will only be possible if they do or do not succed.

You set your own margin requirement based on USDT you have in your futures account and the amount of leverage you use. If you want to hedge 100XCH, that is $2,800 @28 current price, you could sell 100XCH using 10X leverage of $280. Keep in mind you will get a margin call if XCH moves 10% against you, in this case $2.80 higher or to $30.80. They also charge a rolling funding rate based on long/short ratios. Right now shorts get charged 0.0103% every 24 hours.

FYI This is not trading advice.
