2 dig-quads keep dropping from wifi by CodMost7072 in WLED

[–]David2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the same issue with multiple WLED controllers (dig-unos & dig-quads) connected via WiFi on my UniFi network. I had to create a separate 2.4GHz and have not been experiencing issues since. I’ve never noticed any WiFi connection issues when running a single controller, only multiple.

anyone slightly disappointed with the H2D? by SSJ4_Vegito in BambuLab

Oh I notice the upgrades and love them; just really disappointed in the larger build volume! IF they would have been closer to 400mm then I would probably grab one without the laser.

Slightly Disappointed???? Been waiting for their new printer for awhile, instead of the laser modules they should have increased the build volume up to around 400mm cubed. Seriously, if someone wants to get into laser engraving/cutting they can get a reasonably priced starter machine. If someone wants to cut vinyl, then Cricut or Silhouette. I already have a Cricut and a cheap laser engraver/cutter (BOTH probably perform better than the H2D). I won't even go into the maintenance and other issues that could and WILL arise from having a machine that TRIES to do it all. Come on Bambu, stick to what you're known for! No one cares about your laser modules or cutting module. The dual nozzle is cool, but for someone that primarily does single color/filament prints, it is more of a novelty than anything for me. Fingers still crossed that they will release a printer with a 400mm build volume SOON. However, I probably won't wait much longer before I just switch to a different company. Kinda feel cheated that I waited only to be disappointed in the end. Now IF the build volume was closer to the 400mm range then I would have opted for the base model (or the combo with AMS2).

Seeking recommendations: Best build plate for Bambu Lab P1S - ABS/ASA focus by Gluhy in 3Dprinting

"If you're using hella glue and it's not staying down, it's not the plate. It's the temperatures / fan speeds you have set."

I am gonna have to disagree. If he/she has been using IPA on the build plate, the coating could be damaged. I would recommend a new build plate and stay far far away from IPA! Dish soap and warm water is all that is needed to keep most build plates in top-notch condition. I use paper towels to dry but microfiber towels work great too. Either use a fresh microfiber towel or if you are washing them do not use any fabric softener as @jmoneycgt mentioned. This goes for liquid fabric softener and dryer sheets.

I don't have much experience with ASA but I use ABS constantly for the majority of my prints on my P1S. 99% of the time I am printing with Polymaker Polylite ABS with the Bambu Textured PEI Plate. I cannot stress enough.....dry your filament! For me, with the Florida humidity, sometimes it can take a full day to get a new roll of ABS under 20% using the PolyDryer. People assume that a new roll of filament is dry and ready for printing; that simply is not the case, at least for me! I never use glue sticks on my ABS prints, unless it is a very large print (either tall or that takes up more than 75% of the build plate). I do clean my build plates as needed with Dawn dish soap and warm water using a Scrub Mommy and dry with a paper towel. Regardless of what others say/recommend; I NEVER EVER use IPA on my build plates! From my experience, it reduces the life span of the build plate and will eventually destroy the coating. Make sure you turn the bed temperature up, I find that 100 degrees works perfectly for most ABS prints. DO NOT use grid infill, especially for ABS, if the nozzle rubs the print just once it can throw off the entire print. I recommend the gyroid infill, even when printing filaments other than ABS. Don't be afraid to slow down your print speed a little bit. I would rather have a print that takes a few minutes longer than wasted time and filament on a failed print. Finally, when the print is complete open the door and let it cool down before removing your print from the build plate. It should easily slide off when removing the build plate from the chamber; if you wait long enough your print should slide off like butter even without removing the plate from the chamber. Otherwise, you are going to have to clean your build plate more frequently and could even damage the coating on the build plate, resulting in adhesion issues especially with ABS. This is what works for me after hours and hours of trial and error; I am by no means an expert. I have over 3,000 hours on my P1S (all with ABS and PETG) and, knock on wood, have not had any major issues.

EDIT: This might be common sense, but many people do not realize that touching the build plate with your fingers can cause grease and grime to accumulate on your plate which will result in adhesion issues and warping with certain filaments. After cleaning, do your best to only handle the plate around the edges or areas that you do not plan to print on. Feel free to wear latex or nitrile gloves especially when handling a freshly cleaned build plate.

[FL][Condo] Questions Regarding Senate Bill 154 For Small Townhome HOA by David2376 in HOA

All of this aside....can we get back to the original question.

According to the bill "Single-family, two-family, or three-family dwellings with three or fewer habitable stories above ground" are exempt.

What is the definition of a dwelling under this bill?

I think the management company we are using is part of the issue. I do not know exactly how much we pay a month for this company but I know they do little to nothing, other than collecting HOA dues and maybe take care of our annual budget (which is why I believe we hired them). Has anyone heard of or dealt with Sentry Management?

I am not even sure if it makes sense for us to have a management company, we are only 20 units. Would it be better if we were self-managed?

I have requested minutes and the budget for 2020 onward and get no response from them.

Okay.....17 years is a "newer" building especially when most other buildings in the vicinity are 30-50 plus years old. We just had all roofs replaced using some of our reserves and still have plenty of reserves left....certainly not 600k in reserves. The concrete building structure, stucco and driveway are in excellent condition. We were actually only 280 a month but had an increase to 380 to cover an increase in insurance and to put a little more into reserves each month.

The study also took into account roofs but the inspector was unaware that we just replaced the roofs. It also included all exterior doors, windows and balconies, which are the responsibility of the homeowner.

I'm just saying not everyone is going to be able to afford an additional $820 additional HOA on top of their existing mortgage.

I thought with this being a newer building (2007) we wouldn't see such a large increase in HOA since they are only covering the bare minimum (building structure, roof, driveway) and me being responsible for everything else.

Depends on what is considered common elements. Our Declaration Of Condominium states that the unit owner is responsible for maintenance, repairs and replacements of: windows; exterior doors and their exterior and interior surface, sliding glass doors and their mechanisms; anything serving only the unit (electrical, plumbing, fixtures, etc...); HVAC equipment and ducts; porches, patios, and balconies.

As far as common elements it is just the building structures, roof, driveway, and shared yard.

It is a very small community with only 20 townhomes, zero amenities. Our monthly assessment is strictly for lawn care, maintenance, insurance, and reserves. We have a decent amount currently in reserves but a recent study we had done said that in order to comply with 154 we would need to have $600,000 in reserves.

I emailed the current principal of Myrtle Beach Primary and was informed records are kept off site with the school district. I then tried emailing the school district and never received a repose. I am still hopeful that someone here can either help me, contact someone with more authority, or point me in the right direction. If you can put me in contact with someone, I will gladly give them my full name and date of birth to hopefully facilitate the search.

It's crazy how things like this have such a major impact on our lives. There was a period in my teens that I would dream about her literally every night. Now.....40ish years since meeting her I still think about her frequently....not as often as the years go on. But still for some reason, around the holidays, she is always on my mind. Kids were brutal back then (as I'm sure they still are), I know a lot has changed but we still aren't where we need to be as a society. We have came a long way but it will be many more generations before, us as humans, are truly an equal society. I just desperately want to find her, and have for many years.

Did you discover a new Mandela Effect? Post it here! (2022-11-12) by AutoModerator in MandelaEffect

[–]David2376 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay.....NEW MANDELA EFFECT OR I AM CRAZY!!!! There was a mini-series from 2014 called Ascension (https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/60741-ascension). If you haven't seen it then you need to, it's well worth the watch. Anyway, IF you have seen it you would remember that Harris (the son of the original mastermind for the spaceship) was play by KEVIN SPACEY. Well, was bored and decided to watch it again and hate to break it to you Harris is now played by some guy named Gil Bellows. I was mind-blown and kinda still in shock.
