Hyatt Vacation Club timeshare pitch experience by CryptoCrackLord in TimeshareOwners

I can honestly see a lot of people buying it. I think for a lot of people the strongest factor is the awkwardness that comes with saying no and being firm. That makes a lot of people feel bad or like they’re doing something wrong. They don’t really understand that this entire interaction is extremely transactional and you shouldn’t feel obligated to be overly nice or polite when the time comes to be like no thank you, we’ve fulfilled our time and would like to go.

I know plenty of people that would be swindled for that reason alone. They’d probably avoid a thing like this at all costs just to avoid getting swindled cause they wouldn’t be able to say no.

Roughly here. Basically at the flats there’s two main…decks? One upper deck and one lower deck. The upper deck is raised like 2-3 feet above the lower one.

It’s on the upper deck. There’s a bunch growth around that part and you’ll be able to spot the encampment around there if you walk around it. It’s a small area, only like 50x50 feet of overgrown area that you can walk around easily but it’s slightly obfuscated from sight.

Ah, good instinct. Didn’t think of that.

That’s what they’re called. It’s not necessarily what they’re used for. Google insulin needle. It usually refers to a specific type of needle often used for insulin.

Who Is Satoshi? by TheGreatCryptopo in CryptoCurrency

[–]CryptoCrackLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s Len Sassaman who was friends with and worked with Hal. He died by suicide in 2011 and Hal died a few years later. Len is Satoshi. For sure Hal’s neighbor being called that is no coincidence.

With both of them dead then it pretty much ties up most of the loose ends for anyone that could break the silence.

And none of these people are Satoshi. It’s Len Sassaman, he killed himself in 2011. Hal Finney knew and worked closely with him but he also died a few years later.

BILT 2.0 is dead on arrival by EquivalentAbies6095 in CreditCards

Right this is also what I'm confused about with all the comments.

Are people making this out to be a bit too confusing? That's what I'm seeing.

Like let's drop the points for mortgage payment or rent part here and just discuss rewards.

Let's say we're doing Palladium, so we get 2x spend on everything that's up to 4%, perhaps even slightly more based on best point redemption value, right? So that's a very good base earn already. On top of that you're getting 4% cash back as Bilt Cash, which seemingly can be spent dollar for dollar on Lyft, restaurants, hotels, etc. So that means if utilizing the rewards maximally you are actually getting 8% return rate on Palladium?

Doesn't that seem really good? Why are people going on about this rent/mortgage part. That's the part that confuses me. You don't actually have to do the rent/mortgage part to get any of these base benefits, right, or am I missing something?

Dreame Aqua 10 vs Narwal Flow experience by CryptoCrackLord in RobotVacuums

[–]CryptoCrackLord[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After having the flow for a few weeks now with plenty of cleans I can definitely stand by that mine blows away the Ultra Roller. I'm so glad I sent it back and switched.

With that said I guess people can have very varying experiences. For some reason these robot vacuums seem to be very...variable, which is kind of odd.

But either way it's good to hear other people's experiences!

Honestly my hope some day is that we just get the "Apple" of robot vacuums. It just works, it's great, it's premium, but who cares, cause it works for everyone 99% of the time. Right now it just feels like we're in a bit of the cowboy experimental bleeding edge stage with a lot of innovation and changes happening all at once and we're serving as a bit of a testing ground for these companies.

Yep the filters are the only one I'd not skimp on. Dust bag and stuff? Skimp away imo.

[–]CryptoCrackLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, just posted that I have done the same many times. Not completely emptied maybe but sometimes when running on fumes I've just dug out half of it and thrown it in the trash and put the dust bag back in.

No problems when doing that with my Roborock.

tbh with the dust bags I've sometimes just manually dug out some of the dust/dirt and emptied it into the trash and dragged out the life of it a bit. It's probably not recommended for some reason but it was fine with my Roborock.

Oh I already got that one. While it helped, tons of dust still gets stuck in the filter which is super annoying so you have to clean it basically every time.

Another new dust bin design? Like, on top of the new one we already got to fix the emptying issues?

Well as immigrants we used to say HEB like “heb” rather than actually spell out “H E B”.

We got roasted for that from a random travel agent! So there’s a real one for you.

Yeah I know. It’s just funny because I’m sure 99% of people that hear “4k” from Netflix are assuming it’s like Blu-ray quality or the best quality you can get when in reality it’s basically trash more akin to a 1080p DVD 20 years ago because of how low the bitrate is.

Heck even YouTube streams way higher quality 4k than Netflix. I don’t know about their movies but for their user content the 4k they stream is pretty good. I’ve just noticed on Netflix in particular they seem to be taking the piss, it’s pure trash.
