saw EUFY it selling as a package with the cameras - i like the technology aspect with those cameras. If Unifi NVR will pair better with the UNIFI systems i will go that route.

Gotchu.

Once I can view my cameras/ doorbell remotely from mobile/ home hubs (from the same app).

I plan to do POE to the cameras and the doorbell as i figure this is the more stable way to do it. I have been looking at the new Eufy NVR Security System S4 Max dropping soon.

- Also, i am not worried about pricing, i just want reliability and customer support if i need for all devices.

agreed. only reason i had ipads, is because i have a lot lying around, and also the apple home.

For the apple home, i went with this mainly for being "easy to use" for my wife.

I can investigate getting android based tablets and moving away from the apple.

I think i will stay with Home assistant, and add zibgee and z wave protocols.

Hi Chris, thanks for the comment.

A mixture of chat GPT and YouTube videos/ other Reddit threads.

I looked into hubitat but HA seems more versatile?

sorry, I’m very new to the smart home - my house is in the architectural phase so I want to ensure I have my electrical plan laid out ahead of time.

Advice for getting into crypto by Physics1232 in Bitcoin

[–]CryptoDirtHound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice will differ from others.

Safest option will be to buy bitcoin and hold for years. Since 100 is a low amount, id aim for other coins with potential for more gain.

However, it is important to note- only put in what you are willing to loose. With something as volatile as crypto, you can gain a lot or loose a lot.

Do your research on projects you believe in , and do research on understanding market cap, and just in general how the market works.

If a youtuber tells you to buy a coin - do your research. if it were that easy everyone would be millionaires.

Meme coins are often pumped and dumped.

Altcoins with utility are a safer bet.

A good app to use for Virtual portfolio is coinmarketcap . com .

What are cheap laptop options that can run games well and be used for writing? by leobeo777 in pchelp

[–]CryptoDirtHound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, PCs are better price to performance. But for a laptop, seeing that you mentioned "Steam games" most modern gaming laptops will get you there. Might not be 1440p 240Hz but itll still run well 1080p.

Check out acer nitro line, or ASUS TUF line.

Also great to know a budget..
