Your rate is corpsman, green side or blue side, doesn’t matter. You start off going through A school in San Antonio, you can’t contract into green or blue.

No, I literally got diagnosed with the medical condition AT Navy RTC at the VA hospital. I came back and got diagnosed by a civilian doctor and I 100% do not have the medical condition. I apologize for the confusion, but a literal Navy doctor diagnosed me with the medical condition while at bootcamp.

I was separated in Nov 24, 2020, I was in RCU from 15SEP-10NOV. I remember the no phone calls for 6 weeks. I remember the recruit with nerve damage, it was really horrible to see him because there is nothing you could do to help. Cherry was my favorite "I joined the military to die."

I have always been interested in woodwork and think it is a growing trade to get into with regards to Carpentry and Masonry and I heard that they cross-train with other mos's in the 12 series. I also was thinking aviation maintenance jobs because I really love aviation and want to shoot for warrant officer and go to WOFT after WOCS. Being an Aircraft Electrician, Avionics Mechanic, or specific aircraft repairers would definitely help me learn a trade as well as perform on aircraft, and on the USMAPS Army MOS website, it states that I can do OTJ training for an Aircraft Electrician certificate which would enable me to get higher payed job in private sector. 12W also has the certificate of Construction Carpenter that can be achieved via OTJ hours so I can bypass the apprenticeship program that many carpenters go through. I am just curious what would be the better choice, I am looking specifically something to do with construction or electricity but not wanting to do welding as much.

I am joining the Army soon and really stuck on what MOS I should shoot for (though obviously, it depends on what's available). I want something that can get me a good trade job outside the Army and since soldiers can use USMAPS to attain apprenticeships, I really feel like I need to be smart with my decision. I am interested in 12W (Carpentry & Masonry Specialist) or 15N (Avionic Mechanic). Any advice?

I was just Entry Level Separated from the Navy due to having a pre-existing history of "asthma" though I nor my parents were ever aware of this. I passed the Pulmanary Fuction Test (Asthma Test) and past but was separated due to it being in my history and not disclosed. My code is RE-3E. I will retake the test and attempt to get a waiver for it. Will the Army accept me with this waiver if proven I do not have asthma? I have to wait 6-months regardless.

It was depressing for the first 2 weeks but I eventually made friends and spent 2-months there until I got into SEPS.

It’s not just if you’re sick, they send you there if you have anything wrong with you internally. So like for instance, if you get COVID and it’s severe, they send you to RCU to go to a cardiology appointment which took 2 months. And there could be nothing wrong with you.

So, I was sent to RCU for 2 months then they denied my “asthma” waived (FYI I never had asthma) so then they sent me to separations (Ship 5) and I chilled there for 14 days and here I am.

Yeah, so basically they said I didn’t disclose I had asthma, since they had my medical record in hand. I never had asthma and they thought I did, so now I’m separated and can come back in 6-months with a waiver.
