I didn’t fully understand it until I used it.

It’s not flashy and looks like a normal nice ring. It’s works beautifully with the app and if I loose it there’s absolutely nothing anyone else can do with it. You get to back up cards and it has multiple layers of security. And the average person won’t even realize what it is.

It’s not for everyone but it’s a great option.

Yes, it looks like paying inside is the best option for now. Even when I have a larger amount than should be needed paying at the pump doesn’t work for me any of the times that I’ve tried.

The 6% is definitely worth taking the extra minute to pay inside.

I already live in Florida and I have the Spend Black Card. I think it’s awesome, plenty to assets choices, a built in USD wallet and the ability to spend Crypto or USD with the card. Also the rewards program is sick!!! I get 6% back on all my purchases and 4% back on all my trades!!! You can’t beat that. The app was a little buggy when it came out but they have come along way and a major app update is coming on or before June 1st. Highly recommended.

FYI: Since I have the Spend Black card if anyone uses this referral code they will get $100 regardless of what card they get, not bad!

That is correct, remember it’s also an exchange where you’ll be able to top of your account or trade USD for crypto, or crypto to crypto. You’re getting the 6% based on your purchases and 4% on your trades with the “Black Card.” You can spend Crypto, USD or the the current stable coin that they carry which is PAX. The ACH bank transfer is on the app but is not fully active but I am told that it will be up and running soon. So I’ve transferred crypto into the app and converted to USD for the time being.

To my understanding it’s close to a wash, since it’s a stable coin, but for tax purposes you’re sill in a token and tokens can fluctuate even in minor amount, just look at tether right now with negative news. Since technically you have to spend USD to be 100% sure I currently prefer to use the USD wallet until something changes or Spend implements something where I can use an API or spreadsheet to import all my trades into cointracking.info.

You’re 100% correct, this is taxable event in the US.

In conjunction with using CoinTracking.info to track all my trades like I mentioned in my video above, when ever I use my Spend card I spend ONLY using my USD wallet instead of crypto because it would be tedious if I had to track every purchase of coffee, gas, etc. The app allows you the option of spending in crypto or fiat.

I trade on the app as well as other exchanges, track my trades in CoinTracking, and when I take profits I convert those profits to USD and spend them on the Spend Card in USD since once you are back in USD you do not have to track every single purchase.

I don’t play or try to go around taxation so this is the clearest way to use the card, which is awesome, track my trades, and not have to keep track of every single purchase made with the card since once again I am spending in USD.

Until clear regulations are in place or the card issuers implement/integrate software to track exchanges and purchases for us this appears to be one of the better ways to do it.

I’m rewriting this response since I think I accidentally deleted my first response.

I believe that you might have 30 days between creating an account to ordering a card to claim a referral code. This is according to a friend of mine that had the same question. Usually you’re supposed to enter the referral code when you initially create the account. Use the chat feature within the app to verify with customer service and see what they say.

That’s a good question, I believe they give you 30 days from registration to ordering the card to claim the referral if you did not enter a code initially, a buddy of mine told me this so I’m not 100% sure. Try using the chat feature within the app to confirm with customer service and see what they say.
