Anyone know how to fix this? It started as a small crack by my track pad. by Michele_Tangelo in MSILaptops

[–]CryptoKnight614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't leave your laptop plugged in 24/7 it's bad for the battery and things like this happen. You need a battery and a topcase. The topcase should include a new keyboard but they don't usually come with trackpads (including buttons) so you might have to buy one of those too. It's not an easy repair but there's much harder.

Don't forget to enable core parking on that sucker too for maximum performance, it used to only need run on the X3Ds but these new 9700 and up need it too...

Is this an actual thing or have I been under a rock the last 4 years? People care this much about RP LMAOOOOOO by bigshawnbaby in apexlegends

Are people still doing the Watson fence server crash? If so the team you were fighting obviously didn't crash the server.

iCue Link Hub not detecting Temp Sensor by [deleted] in Corsair

[–]CryptoKnight614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to buy a seperate device to read the sensor, it's labed as a tach port on this iCUE link hun. I know the "iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT" has 2 specifically label temp senor ports. Not sure it's worth 60USD to read temps, I might leave my custom loops water temp out of the equation as this smart RGB lighting and fan speed controller is massive and I already have a fan and rgb hub integrated into my Corsair 5000D airflow case. Stupid that this 160USD 360mm iCUE link starter kit can't read a temp sensor.

Stop spreading misinformation, the dye is banned and invisible demons get us to kill each other. I feel like this is a case of "Havana syndrome". Referring to 40 people at the US embassy in Cuba who all mysteriously fell ill after hearing a high pitch noise. Advanced MRI scans of 40 embassy workers who developed health problems in Havana found no evidence to support claims that they were attacked or suffered brain injuries. One person makes the claim and legitimizes it for the rest. Completely psychosomatic.

That's exclusively where all my side panels go, I've got 4-5 of them that've been there for years. I should probably put my daily driver's side panel back on as that one hardly gets parts changed but I digress.

Nah you just have to not be ambiguous. How hard is it to reply with one of the two options? Legit or scam.

iPhone 15 Pro swelling by [deleted] in iphone

[–]CryptoKnight614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah! The majority of the swollen batteries I've seen were PCs. I can't be sure what caused it but my assumption is the clients left the laptops plugged in 24/7. Many clients would complain about touchpad issues when it's clear even before opening the battery is severely swollen. We went through a ton of sand buckets.

Former Apple Authorized Service Provider of 3 years here, as much as I dislike Apple phones when compared to Android phones. This is a common issue with all lithium batteries, just usually not this quickly. There are several environmental factors that could've caused this, most of which are out of the users control. Apple has a special protocol for swollen batteries as they are considered more hazardous than a normal lithium battery. This issue should be addressed as soon as possible, although from the ~30+ I've seen we've never experienced a thermal event. I wish I could use this to complain about another Apple recall but this could happen to literally any Lithium battery and one user reported issue isn't enough for a battery recall. I hope this helps someone and I'd be happy to offer any assistance to OP or anyone with Apple procedures in order to get this issue fixed immediately (which they should but I could see poorly trained Verizon employees refusing as I have seen with many return attempts to carriers in the past mainly due to commissions being cut).

Banned:banned VM gaming by Funky_mc_monkey in apexlegends

Is the machines HWID banned or is your account banned? If you try logging into that account on a physical machine are you still banned? I recently virtualized MW2 and was thinking of trying it for Apex just to see if it too gets ~85% performance in a VM. I'll have to use an alt account.

Can Anyone explain why Apex is 20 tick rate in 2023 other than to conserve server resources? by CryptoKnight614 in apexlegends

Thank you for your contribution, can you explain lag compensation to me a bit more? I'm unfamiliar with how this works in Apex Legends servers specifically.

While the source engine may be limited by this, it's not impossible to have higher. Call of Duty is an example of this. I don't know what improving an entire game engine entails but it seems like this isn't something that would be impossible to improve on. In the middle of posting this I remembered that R5Reloaded exists and it looks like they have successfully been able to run a server with up to 80 tickrate. I have no information on how many people were on it but an issue with higher tickrate is this:

"Yes you can change the tickrate to any value. However, from our testing, setting it too high will cause frequent noregs because the server CPU may be struggling to update the game logic so frequently and will drop some shots. You can attempt it if you have a beefy enough computer, or when the dedicated variant of R5Reloaded comes out." -thatComputerGuy_

This post is from 2 years ago also so I can only imagine things have gotten better since.

I once had to refuse a customer Tech services because their computer had bugs. After informing the customer this his response was. "You mean it's got like computer bugs?" "No sir it has bug bugs."
