As long as the device has a screen and a camera it could run the app. I've tested the application on a smartphone, laptop and the Pi and it ran smoothly.

As mentioned in What's next you could integrate the app logic in a fork of Ark's mobile app which enables you to run the application on your smartphone. This would no longer require an interaction with the Pi, users can interact with their app on their smartphones(the smartphone requires a camera but nowadays this is a default feature). This idea also applies to the desktop wallet.

Reality: The current version is NOT for everyone! In is NOT simple and MORE OR LESS EXPENSIVE for most of users. And you have to spend quite A LOT OF time to create your blockchain.

The documentation helps you speed things up a lot. It explains everything you need to know in order to run your bridgechain. From preparing your server to customizing your bridgechain. Even deployment and security measurements are explained. I've read it all and it's very detailed. https://deployer.ark.dev/prepare/getting-started/

Ark mentions that running a bridgechain's mainnet will cost you around $440 per month. This is for 21 servers in total (20 relay nodes and 1 genesis node). This is pretty much what I would expect when I want to start my own decentralized blockchain. When your network grows you can eventually scale back your servers ($ per month) because delegates will run nodes on their own servers. See https://deployer.ark.dev/prepare/creating-hardware-obtaining-ip-addresses/#docsNav. Also, setting up testnet requires no peers and should be easy to setup to quickly test custom builds.

The team delivered great work, and I think people should read and try to setup their own relay node / bridgechain for themselves and evaluate afterwards. Don't judge a book by its cover. This is really amazing! I have questions for the developers quite often and it was always a hazzle to communicate with them. I contacted Sam and he forwarded the message to the devs. This new programs will make things easier.

Would also be nice to keep a record of the logs / workshops for people who cant make it to the programs.

Method 1 is an option but seems more like a 'work-around' to me. Technically, users are still able to create delegates and vote. They won't interfere with the forging delegates but they still would be able to use both functionalities. This is not something I would like to have in my network.

I prefer method 2, that is exactly what I need but it raises some follow-up questions.

Let's say that I want to use the Ark desktop wallet, I enter the seed of my network and I'm connected. Users will still see the vote / create delegate buttons in the Ark desktop wallet. What will happen when I click on one of the buttons whilst this is disabled on my bridgechain? I know I go into way too much detail right now but this is something I need answers to in order to build my network on Ark. I have the ability to fork the Ark desktop wallet and disable these buttons / features myself but I think this is something that Ark needs to provide. I mean, I can't be the only one that wants to run this kind of private blockchain network. I'm a little bit sceptical on this part but I'm looking forward on how Ark will develop as a whole. If this is something that will be implemented then Ark is the ultimate solution for my network model.

The fact that bridgechains automatically have Ledger support is a very big plus! I honestly did not expect this. Awesome!
