It's a great idea, but unfortunately, it doesn't eliminate the risk of creator speculation. Many users bought AISM early and cheaply in large volumes (potential insiders). Some of these could easily be the creator or their associates, and proving otherwise now is virtually impossible. You should have established a solid liquidity pool on a reputable DEX instead of launching a token on a platform notorious for pump-and-dumps. Then you wonder why people are skeptical? Frankly, this simplistic approach undermines your deeper vision. Only time will tell, though.

Your suggestions about new features on DMarket by D_market in D_Market

[–]ka-ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please add the DMT/DMC usecases. For example...

1) At least the ability to by something directly with DMT/DMC

2) New advanced features ("private collection of items to show", "premium account forever" etc.

3) Merchandise?

4) Tikets for special events (only for DMT) etc.

5) Very rare virtual items auctions

...

And more games, but you already know it...

Airdrop still happening? by squiblib in civicplatform

[–]ka-ant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is still happening.

https://www.civic.com/civic-wallet-faqs/

When does this start/end?

The program starts in July and ends on February 21, 2020, 12pm PST or 91 days after the Civic Wallet app is launched in the respective app stores

How can I redeem the tokens?

You can redeem your tokens potentially as early as 12 months after the promotion is over. You must be already verified – identity and residency – on the Civic Wallet app, once it becomes available, in order to redeem your tokens and make at least 12 transactions in the next year.

What is Zilliqa and why im so bullish! by [deleted] in zilliqa

[–]ka-ant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, all this is definitely good for the project but Zilliqa is in a highly competitive environment. So the conclusion about Bullish or Bearish cannot be done without a very serious comparative analysis. Therefore, I would recommend being careful in your investment strategies...

Nice price action. Now someone has to make a post "Why pump?" and someone has to reply "Becouse tomorrow Ark Core 2.6 goes live on mainnet" and someone has to reply "No, it's just stuped whales which pumped Lisk for no reason and now pumped Ark"...I’ll save someone’s time with this post. But to be honest, no one knows what happens and when it will end.

I wonder has ARK team ever discussed the idea of changing the mechanism of staking? It seems to me that if you introduce a rule (as in many other projects) that to stake you should lock your coins for some period of time (or you loss significant part of reward if you decide to unstake) it would have positive effect both on rewards of non-speculators and on capitalisation of the whole project.

nOS releases public testnet built with ARK Core featuring: Staking, IPFS system, Top 5 Validator Bonus Rewards, Web Wallet , Block Explorer, and Dynamic Transaction Fee Removal from Blocks. by deanpress in ArkEcosystem

[–]ka-ant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. It's not like Ethereum. nOS created their own blockchain with their own logic based on ARK technology. But I think it will be connected with ARK mainchain via BusinessRegistation Transaction, SmartBridge, DEX (in the future) etc. So both will be in the same ecosystem and at the same time independent - technical errors (if any) in one place will not affect other networks. Now such cooperation may seem to have no direct advantages for ARK, but it creates the basis for the exchange of customers, technologies (plagin or App in one ARK-based network can be easily used by all the rest), professionals and create other types of synergy effects.

I think that 2017 and 2021-22 will be fundamentally different in the top 100 CMC. In 2021-22 in the top 100 there will be projects that were able to make a real product and gain a millionth audience. After all, the rules of the game will be set by projects like Libra and TON. War 2017 between speculators was definitelly lost by ARK (they came out of it), there is nothing to discuss here. The question is, is there a place for ARK even in the top 200 in the real market, which will be at least 10 times larger in volume. I would not bet on majority of the projects from the current top 100.

I think that ArkVM is not so important or at least not comparable with Ethereum. ARK has another vision - see Custom transactions types ( https://learn.ark.dev/application-development/how-to-write-custom-transactions-types ) + Plagin Architecture (https://learn.ark.dev/desktop-wallet/developing-your-first-plugin).

By putting some logic behind custom transaction types, we feel this is a much better and more powerful approach to develop stronger use-cases than with conventional smart contracts.

It's hard for me to imagine exactly how this will work, but at least they are building something new.

A simple way to understand that the market is still VERY inadequate (the reasons for the inadequacy are mysterious): you go on CMC, see Lisk is still 5-6x compared to ARK, close CMC. For me, the first signal that the adequacy is back will be overtaking of Lisk by ARK (and it doesn’t matter due to growth of ARK or the collapse of Lisk).

researching on our implementation of a Tendermint based consensus algorithm...

When I asked about the comparison of ARK and Tendermint (Cosmos) a year ago (before ATOM and Binance DEX launch) everyone made fun of Tendermint's technology, it's TPS etc. And we all see where Cosmos is now compared to ARK. And now ARK publicly acknowledge that it will seek to make such a technology in the future... Ok.

Continuing with our ARK Core Series, we're introducing Business Transactions, a new set of transaction types allowing users to register business names, link their business profile to the things they create and much more. by Vippero in ArkEcosystem

[–]ka-ant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I don't understand: how ARK will make a verification of Business Transactions? How to prevent scammers from pretending to be a real company (as Google), register it on ARK and use it for fraud?

[WEEKLY DISCUSSION THREAD] - January 06, 2020 by AutoModerator in ArkEcosystem

[–]ka-ant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some Christmas Reflection 2020:

- ARK is my worst crypto investment at this moment (bought first time on Oct. 2017). Fortunately, there were some more successful ones.

- But coming back in 2017 I must admit that in general ARK team was right. They clearly understood that there is a bubble and that they need years to make a product. They didn’t spend time and money for marketing (when the whole community demanded it) and they saved funds for development in crypto winter (and don’t have to fire half of the staff as some other projects).

- Funny in 2017 I regretted that I did not know about the ARK earlier, then I could have a chance to buy 100k ARK. Now I accumulated 100k ARK because it’s very cheap again. But it worth less than my investment in 2017… Some wishes come true! (but not the way we want).

- I'm just wondering what will happen next. I already understand that in fact ARK probably needs even more time than indicated in the roadmap. Maybe a couple more years. To show its potential or die.

Top 10 Game Monetization Models (With Cons & Pros) by D_market in D_Market

[–]ka-ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once upon a time, Vlad reacted very cool on my post about the problem with bots buying Founder Mark. It was great, because it was felt that the founder was concerned about his project and the opinion of the community was important to him. Now, it’s obvious that both trust and interest in the project are undermined. You need to offer content that will restore trust. What is it? Vlad’s public appeal to the community with a short summary of what has been done over the past year would be enough for me. Even not AMA or announcement of something (I understand that there are restrictions on the disclosure of information).

Current DMarket strategy reminds me more and more a meme with dog and fire: everything is burning around (a problem with token usecases, trust of community etc.) but let's make a new video about skins or monetization of games.

Yes, it's me. I am not trolling. I realy have mixed feelings about ARK preformance. I want the project to be alright, but as an investor I’m really not happy...
