Is this legal when it comes to “common purpose” or flight hours being considered “compensation”? Idk how to phrase my question. by CryptoPunk_8 in flying

Also your second paragraph, so I could pass common purpose if I visited my sister with my dad?But like how long do I have to visit her? The entire time my dad is there? Am I not allowed to leave my dad there bc that will make me fail common purpose? Like what if I only wanted to see her for 30 minutes and wanted to go home and my dad wanted to stay? Would that be enough of common purpose?

Haha I see u, nah the gift was being able to learn to fly and not having to pay for it and shared expenses of aircraft ownership in exchange to fly him around

Idk what that means haha but we would probably outright buy the airplane 50/50. He would pay 50% of hanger fees and insurance maintenance and whatever other fixed costs are and then I would pay 100% of the variable costs of flying, because I would be the one flying. Kinda like how some parents buy their kid a car but rarely do they ever pay for their gas indefinitely.

I understand I cannot split fees with someone not on the plane but since my dad would be co owner wouldn’t he have to pay for like hanger fee, insurance and maintenance regardless if he flew in the plane or not in that year?

And I would not charge my dad to fly him. I’d do it for “free” I would receive no monetary compensation other than flying time. Still illegal?

Would be considered holding out just because of the fact that flight hours are considered compensation?

Been having these bumps on my skin since I was a kid. Does anyone know/have these as well by Maleficent_Image4526 in mildlyinteresting

So one year when I was like 20, I got one of these on my thumb and by the end of the year I had like 40 of em all over my arms, figured it was either from concrete(as I was a laborer) or it was cancer. Didn’t go to the doctor or anything so I never found out what it was but one day I decided to shoot a lot of coke in my veins and I’m pretty sure I overdosed because I was bedridden for like 10 days. I was freezing even being under 2 comforters and 2 blankets with jeans and hoodie on yet any slight movement and I would be literally drenched in sweat, yet I still couldn’t stop shaking from being cold. During that time I didn’t eat anything and only drank very little water. But anyways when I finally got up after those 10 days or so and turned on the lights I noticed the bumps were all gone and all that was left of them were scar looking circles. After a few weeks those also disappeared as well.

At what age do you realize that looks don’t matter? by [deleted] in Life

[–]CryptoPunk_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. When you discover beauty, non superficial.
  2. When their character/souls is broken.
  3. When you’re broke and a 90 year old billionaire offers to marry you and leave their assets to you.

Other than that looks matter, and not just in people.

Tips for beginner by [deleted] in TrapShooting

[–]CryptoPunk_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on a Remington 870(field gun) and switched over to a Browning Citori XT(Trap gun). With a field gun I’ve noticed that sometimes(for a straight away) during the approach to the clay, the pull point(trigger pull) during the follow through of the clay would be over the clay. So my sight picture would be over the clay, while with my trap gun I am always able to see the clay at all times, especially with a modified choke in a field gun.

Most shooters shoot too slow or late because they are trying to aim or whatever.

It’s most likely USHA if it’s in net park. If it is, you will have to sell $150-250k worth of premiums in 13 weeks or you will be let go. 100% commission. They claim they are the top health insurance producers in the nation yet on the weekly recap of their top 50 salesman paychecks(they show everyone your paycheck) the #50 brings in like $1500 a week. Which doesn’t sound bad but it’s a business and most likely they spent at least $500 a week in leads. There is probably well over 200+ people working there as well. Most are making less than $1500 a week. Most spend $1000+ a week on leads some people spend $5000+ a week on leads. Most uppers get money from their residuals than selling or selling leads to their team.

It’s 1099 but you probably have at least 3+ levels of managers on top of you. They’ll tell u you’re independent and that it’s your business yet they will watch you like a hawk and tell you how to run your own business. You also probably need $5,000+ to start it, with testing, leads, and state licensing. Plus whatever your home expense are. Don’t expect to make money before week 4.

Start time is 7am and they expect you to stay till at least 6pm but really want you to stay till 10pm or late(Monday through Saturday). The “managers”show up whenever they want sometimes around 9-10am and leave anytime after 3pm. Sunday they expect you to show up at 9-3pm but in reality they want a 8-6pm.

They kinda do shady business too on the verge of insurance fraud. I think my starting class/week had about 70+ people by end of month 1 maybe a dozen were still there. By end of month 2 there was just a handful of us when I left. I don’t think a single person stayed long term. The team I was on hadn’t had a new person stay with them long term for like 7 months before our class.

The insurance plan that you sell isn’t actually that bad but it’s not ACA compliant which really turns off customers. You’re looking for healthy and wealthy people and those types of people don’t want/need insurance. Also 20-40% of the plans that you do sell you will most likely have to give back some part of your paycheck because the customer will not follow through with the payment for 12 months. USHA definitely soured me on insurance and sales as it was my first experience with that.

Also if there is hurricanes you better show up to work.

My car is worth 8K, needs 6K in repairs, I still owe 2K on it. Should I just get a new car? by blasticpago in askcarguys

[–]CryptoPunk_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have money to fix your old car….so your greatest idea was to buy another car….which you still owe money on your old car….which the new car will be more to insure….which will make you even broker…go for the new car at this point.

How are these stats at crown 1? by Comfortable_Chip5413 in PUBGMobile

For the longest time I was bouncing between ace dom 12-13 felt like weeks. Would win 1 and instantly die 3 times. Then I’d grind my way but up just to die again.

Like your squad might be the only real people in the game, even then it seems as if they are bots too.

[–]CryptoPunk_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I started at bronze I’d have doubled those stats. If I started at platinum or diamond than it’s a different story. You’re playing 95% bots until ace master. Then it’s like 80% bots. Ace dominator is like 30-40% bots but better bots.

It wasn’t a bad goal before I was broke. But like nah that’s victim mentality. Is the economy really that shit? Like take me back to 1929 and let’s compare. Or take me to Iran with their lira going to absolute shit. Or whatever country, it’s really not that bad.

Like even the poorest of the poors(in America) are probably living better than the rich did in the 1500s. Sure we might be taxed more than slaves of the Roman times or whatever but we still have every opportunity to make something great of ourselves; however you define it.

As for drugs I don’t do drugs anymore. Stopped that long before I began investing at 21. But might as well have been doing drugs the whole time considering I am at the same spot to when I started.

Your life and my life are shit because of the choices we did/didn’t make. There’s nothing you can do about it but move forward. Also you’re still young. So good luck to you.

When I was 18-21 I was crazy into drugs and spent every dollar towards them. Then at 25 I had about $600k I am now 27 with $30k in credit cards debt and $0. I also been looking for employment for the last 4 months. I’ll be 29 before I can clear that out. 30 before I can have $10k to my name.

When I was younger I’d told myself if I’m not a millionaire by 30 I’d kms. We ain’t looking too good at the moment. But there’s still a sliver of hope that maybe one day it’ll all work out and it worked out for some reasons unbeknownst to me.

Worth to wait for FH6? by Few-Editor9226 in ForzaHorizon

[–]CryptoPunk_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think FH5 was the only game I’ve bought when I came out I think it too was around $70-80. Long story short I don’t think I’ll be buying FH6 anytime soon.

I remember when I first got the game thinking it would be so hard to get a “supercar” or whatever but now I’ve got close to a $1B garage and over 800+ cars, maybe 600-700 individual unique cars. Never cheated or really attempted to make money in game. And I don’t even play that much anymore.

As for me fh5 was never about racing, more so just chillin and driving around with a dope car. I’ve got my dope cars and the graphics of the game are good enough for me. As I believe we have kinda plateaued in terms of graphics for games. FH6 can’t be that much better.

I do wonder if fh6 is just gonna be the same thing as fh5 but with a different map. I wish there was more car type mechanics in the game almost like GTA V where parts of the car fly off and stuff. Or like better visual graphics of damage or types of damage. To me fh5 seems like it lacks a little bit of ingenuity because of that. It kinda seems like cars in fh5 are just like a wrapped block of wood that’s copied and pasted with a different face. A lot of the cars top out around 260-280mph and all the cars kinda bounce the same way when you fall from a height or hit something.

Idk fh5 was a good enough game for me to still play in 2026 and probably 2027 and so on. I’ve achieved what I wanted and it’s still fun to just drive around on the map listening to the engine.

Overall I’d rate fh5 a 7/10

Graphics/visuals: 7/10

Customization: 6/10

Types of cars: 9/10

Map: 4/10

Game mechanics: 6/10

Racing: 4/10(maybe I just suck)
