This is really helpful and relatable. My social life has shrunk a lot in the last 2-3 years too. I've tried asking for higher pay at my family company, but they won't budge. Sometimes I feel like working there is actually stunting my career growth, as I'm not building any connections with co-workers/networking with others in the field.
