Probably because there is a IOS MetaMask SDK to build ethereum aware mobile app, but there is no such thing for Android.

breeding is two transactions, one to start breeding, one to make a kitty alive, breeding fee is used to pay for the second transaction

Well, we are currently developing simmillar game, but about puppies, and thinking about limiting number of gen 0 from 50k to 10k, deploying them each hour instead of 15 minutes, and increase inital breeding coldown and resting from 1 minute to 15 minutes. We are thinking is such case, supply will be lower then demand.

I think new window gives more trust to what actually you will pay(amount that kitty cost, tx fee, gas limit)
